GIU Day 4!

For English, go to 3rd paragraph ;)

Hello!!!

Hope you have been enjoying the cards I've presented so far as part of the Growing in Unity from Unity Stamp Company. Our friend Vicki Beall is also a GIU gal this week so don't forget to visit her blog too. Comment on both blogs for chance to win stamps from Unity <3. Be sure to visit my Facebook fanpage Maia Ink and "like" it to keep up with me and my creations.

Now to what you are here for... Maternity is beautiful and it definitely has effects on a woman's mind. Mommy brain is real! Since I had my son I forget almost everything. To solve the issue, I have to write everything down. I bought a cheap notebook with a mint colored chevron pattern. The color seem perfect for me to decorate it with the  "Let's Flamingle". set. Flamingos are a trend right now. I combined the design of the notebook with a neutral patterned paper with a simple design. Then I created my own background on white cardstock using the set  "(Keeping up with the) Tribal Trend", Distress Inks in yellow and pink tones and Perfect Pearls. I then cut my name using my Cricut Explore Air and colored it with an Ombre effect with Distress Inks. I stamped the flamingos in watercolor paper and colored it using Distress Inks. For the second flamingo, I did the mirror stamping technique. I really need to buy the Mirror Image Stamping tool from Unity Stamp Co. The image would have been way better. Be sure it is currently on my wish list for my next Unity purchase. I applied Glossy Accents to the beaks and to my name to add dimension. Well, see you tomorrow for my last post for GIU. Hopefully, I'll be back!
