GIU Day #4 - Tags!!!

 Hello:

The week is almost gone! Can't believe it. For today's project I wanted to use the stamps from the Stamp Advent Calendar 2022 from Unity Stamp Co. This is the first time I get Unity's Advent calendar and it won't definitely be last. So much cuteness in a little box!!!!

Well, It's Christmas and everybody needs tags for gifts. So I made this super easy tags with the advent calendar stamps. These are the perfect size for it! I die cut squares with white cardstock. 2". The back cardstock is 2 1/4". I did some simple coloring with watercolor coloring pencils, added a bit of glitter, some twine and Voila! tags! These only took a few minutes. Aren't they cute? I left intentionally a blank space to the side to write the name of the gift recipient.

GIU Day #3

Hi!

Welcome back for day 3 of my GIU week. Today's card features the stamp set Holly Jolly Critters. Can you believe I hadn't inked this cute set!?! So glad I finally did! For this one I tried to do the "no line coloring" technique with Copic markers. I haven't colored with Copics in a while and I didn't have the correct type of paper at hand but still, I liked the result. I definitely will try again the technique. I wanted to give a rustic look to this card so I used the "Rustic Wood" paper pack from Unity for the background. The sentiment is heat embossed with red embossing powder. Distress inks and a few sequins completed the look.

GIU 2022 - Day #2

Hello!

Welcome back for day 2 of my Growing in Unity week. For today, I have another Christmas card. I wanted to make a simple one, easy to replicate but not simple enough to be considered a CAS card. For this one I used the set "O' Holy Blessed Night" , kraft cardstock and Unity's paper pack Krafty Deck the Halls . I heat embossed the main image with white embossing powder.

Growing in Unity 2022 - Day One "Doxie Christmas"

 Hi everyone:

Welcome to Day 1 of my participation of Growing in Unity 2022 from the Unity Stamp Co. It's been a while since I've blog so I'm excited for this week. I really hope you enjoy my creations. 

My first project for my GIU  is a card I have called "Doxie Christmas". When I saw this stamp set, "Whit's Weenies" , I knew I had to have it. I love Dachshunds. I've had 8. Currently I have a mini black-tan doggie daughter named Maia. You can follow her in instagram as Maia_thedoxie. So this card is definitely inspired in her. 

For this card I combined "Whit's Weenies" and "Say it Big (Holiday)" stamp sets. I colored the images with watercolor coloring pencils. The background was created with Distress Inks and white acrylic paint. I used Glossy Accents for the lightbulbs within the doxie image. The "Christmas" was heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
