GIU day 3! Piece of cake

 Hola!

I'm half way through my GIU week. For today's card I went back to basic supplies, good old Crayola crayons. I saw a video/reel recently of a girl coloring an image and wanted to try the technique. I forgot to save the reel to give proper credit to that creator :( The technique is to color, applying pressure to the crayon and then scraping the color off, removing the excess wax. It leaves a shiny, smooth finish. Pretty sure I used to do something similar when little. I had fun coloring the image from the set Rainbow Birthday with this technique. The pattern paper is from the Rainbow Vibes paper pack. The die is from Gina Marie Designs. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, Rainbow Birthday. I finished the card with a bit of Glossy Accents on the candle fire and sequins.

Remember to leave a comment for a chance to win $20 gift credit. I was lucky enough to win this from last weeks GIU posts. So order coming soon!

GIU 2023 Day 2

 Hello!

Thank you so much to all for your comments so far. It has pumped me up! Now to today's card...

Are you from the club that buys those crafty supplies but then don't want to use it because "it's too pretty I don't want to use it" or "I'm saving it for a special project". Yes, guilty as charged! I got this paper pack a while ago, "Birthday Party", but hadn't used it. Well finally I did! I paired with the set "Extended Celebration". I colored the image with regular color pencils I took from my son's school supplies.

Well, remember to leave a comment for a chance to win a gift card from Unity Stamp Co. See you tomorrow!

GIU Day 5

Para español, ve al 4to párrafo ;)

It's here!

Sadly, this is my last post for my Growing in Unity week. I really enjoyed this experience and hope to be part of it again next year. Thanks Unity Stamp Company for this opportunity. I had a hard time choosing which card to post today, so I'm sharing two. :)  Both almost share almost the same color palette. For the first one: I scored the background every 1/4 inch diagonally to create the pattern. I used this die on patterned paper. I heat embossed the sentiment from the set "Smile, It's your day" with silver embossing powder. I cut different shaped and sized banners in patterned paper and decorated it with a line of glittered glue. I completed the card with rhinestones.

For this second card I used patterned papers from Pink Paislee, Cedar lane. I heat embossed the circle frame from the set "I Consider You Special" with gold embossing powder. I then cut the center of it and used 3D dots and put on top of another piece of white cardstock were I stamped the sentiment from the same set to give dimension. I decorate with some kraft colored floss and Neat and Tangled sequins.

Well, I really hope you enjoyed my projects presented. Remember to comment on each post from this week for a chance to win random stamps from Unity.
