¡Hola!

Mientras leen esto, yo estoy disfrutando de la fiesta del primer añito de mi bebé. Luego les iré compartiendo las fotografías de todo lo que hice para la decoración de la fiesta. El motivo es del programa infantil puertorriqueño Atención Atención. De este motivo no viene NADA hecho, así que me dí el gustazo de crear TODO lo de la fiesta. Estuve varios meses trabajando en esto (vida de madres, caoticamente Hermosa). Ya verán... mientras les comparto las invitaciones de la fiesta. También les incluyo un video del programa para l@s que no lo conocen. Es muy bueno. JT le fascina.

While you are reading this, I'm enjoying my baby's first birthday party. I'll be sharing later some pics of the party and all the decorations I made. The birthday theme is the Puerto Rican kid's TV show "Atención Atención". This birthday theme is not available for sale so I had to make EVERYTHING for the party. I spent a few months making it all but I'm sure it is all worth it. You'll see... meanwhile, here are the invitations for the party. I also included a video for those who don't know the show. It's great! JT LOVES it.

¡Hola!

Esta semana he publicado practicamente todos los días pues la semana entrante estaré disfrutando compartiendo en familia así que estaré de mini-vacaciones. Hoy les traigo una tarjeta estilo CAS para la competencia de Runway Inspired Challenges #46. Abajo pueden ver la foto de inspiración de la colección L.A.M.B. Spring 2014. A parte de la combinación de colores, me encantó la cartera de la modelo. El patrón de los bolsillos me llamó mucho la atención así que lo recreé en cartulina negra para la base de la tarjeta. Para darle el toque naranja a la postal, iba a colorear una flor con Copics,  Pero encontré esa flor que me había sobrado de las tarjetas que hice para el Día de las Madres y me pareció perfecta. ¡Por eso no boto NADA que me sobra cuando estoy creando! El pensamiento lo estampé en papel de "vellum". Me encanta el resultado final.

This week, I've been posting almost every day because I'll be MIA next week enjoying some quality time with my family. Today's card is a CAS card for Runway Inspired Challenges #46. On top is the inspiration pic from the L.A.M.B. Spring 2014 collection. Apart from the color combo, I love the purse!!! I was immediately drawn away by the pattern on the purse's pocket so I recreated it scoring black cardstock for the base of the card. To give it a pop of orange I was going to Copic color a flower but then I found a that flower in my stash. It was a leftover from the cards I made for Mother's Day and it was perfect. That's why I NEVER throw out any scraps! I stamped the sentiment on vellum paper. I really love the final result.

Lawnscaping Challenge #68

Today's card is for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge #68: Pinterest inspired. I've said it before... I'm seriously addicted to Pinterest. I may need rehab!!! LOL I've made some things inspired by my pins that I will soon share with you. For this challenge I chose the pin you'll see below. One of the things that first come to mind when you think of Halloween are witches. I thought it would be fun to make a "witch checklist". I used several sets of Lawn Fawn stamps. The witch's hat is from the "Hats off to you" set. The cauldron is the soup bowl from the "On the Mend" set. The potion's bubbles and the ones on the list are from the "Critters in the Sea" set. The broom is from "Making Frosty Friends". The spell book is the scarf from that set also. For the list I used the Harold's ABCs. I'll also enter it to Simon Says... Halloween or Halloween Colours.

La tarjeta de hoy es para la competencia de esta semana de Lawnscaping Challenge #68: Pinterest inspired. Ya lo he dicho antes... estoy seriamente adicta a Pinterest. ¡Podría necesitar rehabilitación rehab!!! LOL He hecho algunas cositas inspiradas en mis "pins" que estaré compartiendo con ustedes pronto. Para esta tarjeta escogí el "pin" que ven arriba, la primera foto. Una de las primeras cosas qu vienen a la mente al pensar en "Halloween" son las brujas. Pensé que sería divertido hacer un "listado de verificación de bruja". Usé unos cuantos sets de sellos de Lawn Fawn. El sombrero de bruja es del set "Hats of to you" . El caldero es la sopa del set "On the Mend" . Las burbujas de la poción y las del listado son del set "Critters in the Sea" . La escoba es de "Making Frosty Friends". El libro de hechizos es la bufanda de ese set también. Para el listado utilicé el set Harold's ABCs. Entraré la tarjeta también a la siguiente competencia: Simon Says... Halloween or Halloween Colours.

¡Hola!

Hoy les traigo un proyecto para el Día de las Brujas inspirado en la foto de la competencia de esta semana de Pinspired Challenge #20. Es muy divertido decorar para esta temporada. Este año para mi va a ser muy especial pues mi hermano y familia estarán de visita en PR así que los primitos podrán recoger dulces juntos por primera vez. Los sellos son de Unity Stamp Co. Utilizé "distress ink" y "embossing powder" negro para crear el patrón del fondo. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta también a la competencia de Simon Says... Halloween or Halloween Colours.

Today I bring you a Halloween card inspired by this week's  Pinspired Challenge #20. Challenge. It's so fun to decorate for this Holiday. This year is very special for me because my brother and his family will be visiting so the cousins will go trick or treating for the first time together. All stamps are from Unity Stamp Co. I also used distress inks and black embossing powder to create the background. I will also enter this one to Simon Says... Halloween or Halloween Colours

So many Holidays just around the corner and that makes me soooo excited! I really need to start making my Christmas cards eeekkkk! Anyway, today's project is a bag with a tag for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC118:Tags and Bags. I love using brown paper bags for gifts. There's something about how simple it is you can customize it. Here's one perfect for Thanksgiving's Day. Well, see you tomorrow with another project!

¡Muchos días festivos cercas lo que me emociona! :D Necesito empezar YA a hacer las tarjetas de Navidad. Bueno, el proyecto de hoy es una bolsa de regalo con su etiqueta para la competencia   CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC118:Tags and Bags. Me gustan mucho las bolsas de papel marrón como envoltura para regalos. Las encuentro sencillas y a la vez puedo personalizarla. Esta es perfecta para el Día de Acción de Gracias. Bueno, los espero mañana con otro nuevo proyecto.

Hi there!

I was published in October's edition of Revista Papeles y Más (before being selected as Design team member YEY!), and wanted to share with you the two projects. First is one for Halloween called "Monster Juice". Lately I'm kinda obsessed with upcycling and I did so in this project. I reused a spaghetti sauce jar. Here in PR is a bit hard to find Mason jars (there are no Michael's, Joann Fabric or any of those kind over here). I had this jar and it was perfect. I used Unity Stamp Co stamps ("Too cute to spook"). The second one is a Thanksgiving card. It features Lawn Fawn stamps and some Copic coloring. It's called "Thanksgiving all around".

I also wanted to share with you guys that my last entry to Lawnscaping Challenges "Pattern Paper Craze" was selected as an "Honorable Gnome" Thanks to the DT team for that! Can't wait for the next challenge!

Mis proyectos fueron publicados en la última edición de la Revista Papeles y Más (antes de ser seleccionada para formar parte de su equipo de diseño), y quiero compartirlos con ustedes. El primero es para el Día de las Brujas llamado "Monster Juice" (jugo para monstrous). En las pasadas semanas he estado un poco obsesionada con el reciclaje y lo hice en este proyecto. Utilicé un pote de cristal de salsa para pastas. Aquí en PR es un poco difícil conseguir las famosas "mason jars" (No hay aca Michael's, Joann Fabric ni otras tiendas parecidas). Tenía este pote y result perfecto. Use sellos de Unity Stamp co ("Too cute to spook"). El Segundo proyecto es un tarjeta de Acción de Gracias. Use sellos de Lawn Fawn y coloreé con Copics. Se llama "Thanksgiving all around".

También les quiero anunciar que mi última participación en la competencia de "Lawnscaping Challenges: Patterned Paper Craze" fué seleccionada como "Honorable Gnome". Gracias al equipo de diseño por eso.

¡Hola!

Sé que les dije que les daría la noticia ayer pero realmente no tuve oportunidad de sentarme en la computadora ni 5 minutos... Pero aquí les va:

¡Les tengo excelentes noticias! Recientemente fuí seleccionada para ser parte del equipo de diseño de la Revista Papeles y Más. Para mi es un gran honor poder aportar a este gran proyecto junto a un equipo de super estrellas en el mundo de las manualidades.  Llevo "trabajando" con papel aproximadamente 3 años. Poco a poco he ido creciendo, aprendiendo, conociendo gente nueva y planificando el future de "Maia Ink". No tienen idea de lo emocionada que estoy. Tengo tantas ideas en mente que espero les encanten. Les comparto algunas imagenes de la primera reunion del equipo con Mari, editor y dueña de la revista. La presentación oficial la podrán ver en la edición de diciembre.

I know I said I was going to do an announcement yesterday but I really didn't have a chance yesterday to sit down for even 5 minutes... But here it goes:

I have great news! Recently I was chosen to be part of the design team of "Papeles y Más" magazine. It is a great honor for me to be part of special group of women with awesome talent. I've been paper crafting for over 3 years. Little by little I've been learning, growing in this, meeting great people and planning Maia Ink's future. I'm beyond excited by this. I have so many ideas I can't wait to show you all. On top are some pics from the first official meeting of the team with the editor and owner of the magazine, Mari. You will see the official announcement in December's issue.

I've been MIA (yet again). Actually, I've been putting the finishing touches to my baby's first bday party. It's gonna be awesome LOL Can't wait to share the pics! Today, I'm presenting a very colorful card. I wanted to "play" with the Puffy Star Stackables die from Lawn Fawn and this was the result. I used glittered cardstock in different colors which makes it perfect for this weeks Pinspired Challenge. I L.O.V.E. Pinterest. Can't get enough of it! Below you may see the pin that inspired the card.The sentiment is from the Critters in the forest set (Lawn Fawn). I'll also enter it to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Use a rubber or clear stamp. Well, "see" you guys tomorrow with a great announcement! ;)

He estado un poquito perdida ultimamente. La realidad es que he estado bien ocupadita con los últimos toques de la fiesta de primer añito de mi bebé. Ya pronto verán todo. Va a quedar espectacular. Hoy les present una tarjeta muy colorida. Quería jugar con el set de troqueles de Lawn Fawn "Puffy Star Stackables" y este fue el resultado. Utilizé cartulina escarchada en diferentes colores lo que hace la tarjeta perfecta para la competencia de esta semana en Pinspired Challenge. A.M.O. a Pinterest. Puedo pasar horas viendo "pins". La primera foto es el "pin" que inspiró la tarjeta. El mensaje de la tarjeta es del set "Critters in the Forest" de Lawn Fawn. También estaré incluyendo la tarjeta a la competencia de Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Use a rubber or clear stamp.  Bueno, los "veo" mañana con un importante anuncio. :)
