Hi!

Today's card is a fun yet simple shaker card I made using my new Cricut Explore Air. I just LOVE how easy it is to use. This one was quite easy to create using basic shapes and images I already had. I wanted to keep it CAS because I wanted the Nativity image to be the focal point. I heat embossed the sentiment which is an old stamp from Stampin' Up. I will add this card to the current Cut It Up #85: Make it sparkle with sequins challenge.

La tarjeta de hoy es una divertida pero sencilla tarjeta "shaker" que hice utilizando mi nueva Cricut Explore Air. Me encanta lo sencillo que es crear proyectos como este con su programa. Esta fue bastante fácil de crear con formas básicas e imágenes que ya tenía. Dejé el diseño de esta tarjeta sencillo pues quería que la escena de nacimiento fuera el punto focal. El mensaje es un sello viejito de Stampin' up con la técnica de "heat embossing". Entraré esta tarjeta al reto de Cut It Up #85: Make it sparkle with sequins .

Hope everyone got a great weekend! Today's card features a cute critter I have used many times. It's a stamp from Lawn Fawn. I think one of the firsts releases... I just love that little owl. This time, Mr Owl is feeling the Christmas spirit in this CAS card. I'll enter it to the following challenges: CASology: Week 174: Owl and Simon Says: Anything goes.

I'll also share it with the Unity Stamp Co's Brown Thursday Blog Hop . I kept this one VERY simple. I heat embossed the sentiment (Unity Stamp Co) with gold embossing powder and added gold thread. El niñito Jesús y la estrella las corté con mi Cricut Explore Air que compré hace poquito en Blitsy en una super oferta. El rectángulo de cartulina blanca la corté con un troquel de Lawn Fawn. Le di color para recrear el cielo de la noche con Distress Inks y un bolígrafo de tinta dorada. El mensaje es un sello de Latina Crafter. Hi everyone!

Today's card is the first of two cards I'll enter in CAS-ual Fridays CFC:145: Precious Metals. The baby Jesus and the Star were cut using my new Cricut Explore Air which I got for a great deal a few weeks ago on Blitsy. The rectangle is a die from Lawn Fawn. I colored using Distress Inks and a gold gel marker to recreate a night scene. The sentiment is a stamp from Latina Crafter. I'll also enter this card to Latina Crafter #LCSC53. challenge and CASology: Week 173: Pretty.

Today's card is my second entry for the current Unity -Be Inspired- Challenge. This time I made a CAS design following the colors of the inspiration color photo.31. I got this cute stamp set on one of their amazing sales (they have one right know that is almost imposible to resist!). I just love it. It actually made me think of my best friend. The background was actually a scrap paper I used to clean the brayer I used to paint with acrylic paint when I made this canvas. I loved how it looked so I saved it for a card later. The fox is colored with Copics. I'll share this with Friends with Flair so remember to leave a comment for a chance to win Unity stamps and with the Simon Says Anything Goes challenge.

La tarjeta de hoy es mi segunda entrada para el reto actual de Unity -Be Inspired- Challenge. Esta vez hice un diseño CAS siguiendo los colores de la foto de inspiración .31. Compré este lindo set de sellos en una de sus fabulosas ventas (en estos momentos tienen una que está casi imposible de resistir). Me encanta el set. Me hizo pensar en mi mejor amiga. El fondo fue realmente un pedazo de papel en el cual limpié la pintura del rolo que use mientras creaba este canvas. Me gustó como se veía así que lo guardé para un proyecto futuro y aquí está. El zorro lo coloreé con Copics. Compartiré este proyecto con Friends with Flair asi que recuerda dejar un comentario para la oportunidad de ganar sellos de Unity, y en el reto de Simon Says Anything Goes challenge.

Hoy les traigo una tarjeta sencilla pero hermosa para cumpleaños. En esta tarjeta quise capturar la personalidad de quien recibiría la tarjeta y creo que lo logré. Para el fondo, use un "embossing folder" de Cuttlebug el cual tiene un patrón repetitivo muy bonito. Los sellos son de "Neat and Tangled". Para dar un punto de enfoque en el regalo, estampé varias veces el sello aplicando tinta cada vez para que el color fuera intenso. El lazo plateado fue resaltado con la técnica de "heat embossing" con polvo plateado. Estos dos pasos los hice sobre cartulina blanca que luego corté con un troquel circular. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta en los siguientes retos: CASology: Week 154: Repeat, Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Celebrate y Little Tangles: Challenge #58 - Die Cutting.

 

Hello everyone!

Today's card is a simple but beautiful bday card. I wanted to capture the essence of the person that would receive it, and I think I did it. For the background, I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder which has a repeated swirly pattern. The stamps are from Neat and Tangled. To give it a focus on the bday present, I repeatedly stamped it over itself re-inking each time so I ended with a very crisp image over white cardstock. I also heat embossed the bow with silver embossing powder. Then I die cut the white cardstock using a circle die. I placed it in a corner with 3D dots and cut the excess. Dicen que el cielo es el límite y así lo creo. Esta tarjeta es perfecta para subirle el ánimo a cualquiera. Como ven, es una tarjeta CAS, mi estilo favorite. Los sellos y troqueles son de Lawn Fawn. ¡Muy sencilla pero directo al grano! I've been following the CAS-ual Fridays blog for a while now. They are celebrating 4 years of challenges. This week's challenge is to create a CAS Bday card with the colors white, black, orange and turquoise. I used different color cardstock and then heat embossed the sentiment (Lawn Fawn) in white. I decorated then with Sprinkles in the coordinating colors. Happy Bday CAS-ual Fridays!!!

El reto de esta semana es crear una tarjeta CAS de cumpleaños con los colores anaranjado, turquesa, blanco y negro. Usé cartulina de estos colores y luego con la técnica de "heat embossing" estampé el mensaje que es un sello de Lawn Fawn en blanco. ¡Hola!

Les prometí que seguiría practicando con acuarelas y aquí les presento la evidencia. Esta es mi 2da participación en el reto de Lawnscaping Challenges: Watercolors. Esta vez practiqué crear un fondo y colorear "sin líneas". Me gustó mucho el resultado. Así que prontito les presentaré otra tarjeta con esta misma técnica.

Está muy de moda el utilizer acuarelas en la tarjetería. Les confieso que no soy experta con esta técnica ni tampoco tengo algún set de acuarelas de marcas reconocidas. Me gusta mucho el toque delicado que dá a una tarjeta el colorear con acuarelas. Para la tarjeta de hoy, practiqué un poco con esta técnica. Le añadí  perlas las cuales coloreé con Copics. Los sellos son de Unity Stamp Co. Estaré entrando la tarjeta a la competencia de CAS-ual Fridays: CFC: Must love Watercolors y a Simon Says Anything goes.

Watercoloring on cards has been very popular for a while now. I'm not an expert using watercolors and I don't own any fancy watercolors either but I really like how delicate it looks. For today's card I practiced a bit today. I added some pearls which I colored with Copics to complete the delicate look. The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co. Here I am... posting late...yet again... Anyway, today's card is a birthday card. It features stamps from this kit from Unity Stamp Co. I heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder then colored, with Distress Inks, the background with the colors (I also followed the sketch) from the Unity Be Inspired Challenge just masking about half an inch where I stamped the sentiment. I completed the look with some purple twine and rhinestones. I'm loving this color combo. I'm entering the card to CASology: Week 131 since the cue card is "birthday". I'll also share this card too with today's Friends with Flair so don't forget to comment for a chance to win stamps from Unity!!!

Aquí de Nuevo... escribiendoles tarde... Bueno, la tarjeta de hoy es para cumpleaños. Usé este kit de Unity Stamp Co. Usando la técnica de "heat embossing" estampé las imágenes y luego utilicé polvo transparente para la técnica. Luego le dí color al fondo con "Distress Inks" utilizando los colores (también seguí el esquema) de la competencia de Unity Be Inspired Challenge. Cubrí aproximadamente media pulgada del fondo para estampar luego en esa area en blanco el mensaje. Completé la tarjeta con hilo violeta y "rhinestones". Esta combinación de colores me gusta mucho. Entraré la tarjeta en la competencia de CASology: Week 131, ya que la palabra clave es "cumpleaños". Estaré compartiendo la tarjeta también en el Friends with Flair del día de hoy, asi que no olviden dejar su comentario para la oportunidad de ganar sellos de Unity.

Today I'm presenting you another CAS card. This one, I made using the inlay technique with Lawn Cuts dies and Doodlebug Designs Inc design papers. I wanted to have some sparkle so of course I added some sequins. I completed it with some twine. I'll be entering this one to the following challenge, Simon Says Have a Heart.

Hoy les traigo otra tarjeta del estilo que tanto me gusta, CAS, sencilla y elegante. Usé cartulina blanca, y pintura de acrílico diluida en agua para el fondo. Los corazones son en fieltro y los corte con troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Para las letras, utilicé esa cartulina escarchada que compré en Navidades de la que he usado cada pequeño pedazo que he cortado pues me encanta. Las corté también con troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Complete la tarjeta con lentejuelas rojas. Estaré entrando la tarjeta a las competencias de CAS-ual Fridays:CFC135: Felt and sequins y en Simon Says Have a Heart.

Today's card is made in my favorite style, CAS. I used white cardstock and some paint diluted in water which I sprayed to make the background. The felt hearts were die cut using Lawn Cuts from Lawn Fawn. For the letters, which read "Te amo" (I love you), I used that glittered cardstock in gold I got on Christmas. I've used every little piece I've cut because I just simple love it. I used a Lawn Fawn die for those too. I completed the card with red sequins. I'll be entering it to the CAS-ual Fridays:CFC135: Felt and sequins and Simon Says Have a Heart.

Today's card is not the usual one. I used my Cricut  to cut a snowflake shape and made a card out of it. I used Lawn Fawn and Pink by Design stamps and silver embossing powder to create this CAS card. I will enter this to this week's CASology Challenge: Week 125:Silver. I wanted to enter this too to Cut It Up Challenge but was late posting :( Enjoy!

La tarjeta de hoy es de una forma inusual. Usé la maquina Cricut para cortar dos copos de nieve e hice una tarjeta con ellos. Usé sellos de Lawn Fawn y Pink by Design y polvo plateado para hacer "heat embossing". Esta tarjeta la entraré en la competencia de CASology Challenge: Week 125:Silver. Quería entrar a la competencia de esta semana de "Cut It Up challenge" pero se me hizo tarde. :(

Espero que estén disfrutando de su fin de semana. Hoy les traigo una tarjeta simple que fué inspirada por el pensamiento que ven en la misma tarjeta. Quise usar colores brillantes para resaltar la belleza de la mente. El sello de los rayos de luz es de "Neat and Tangled" y la flor y el pensamiento son de Unity Stamp Co. El troquel es de Lawn Fawn. La mente debemos cultivarla y llenarla de pensamiento positivos. Espero les guste y entiendan el mensaje que quise llevar con esta tarjeta. Today's card features a first for me! It's the first one I make using real stitching! I don't own a big sewing machine but I bought a while ago one of those hand held sewing thingies I had not tried it out. So, it is just a tiny line but I hope to do a bit more in the near future. I'll enter today's card to this week's CAS-ual Fridays: CFC131: Three Thirds. This card has three strips of paper, three different patterned papers and the wood veneer of the butterfly has three tiny holes in each wing! :)

La tarjeta de hoy tiene algo especial. ¡Es la primera vez que hago una costura real en una tarjeta! No tengo una maquina de coser grande pero hace algún tiempo que compré una de las pequeñas inalambricas y no la había utilizado. Me encantó así que verán más costuras en futuros proyectos. La tarjeta la estaré entrando en la competencia de esta semana de CAS-ual Fridays: CFC131: Three Thirds. Esta tarjeta tiene tres tiras de papel, tres papeles de diseño diferentes y la mariposa de madera tiene tres pequeños rotos en cada ala. :)

Today's card is a fun one, pun intended! I used stamps from Neat and Tangled and different colors of cardstock . I used the colors from this weeks Runway Inspired Challenge: #57 for inspiration. The stamps I used makes it perfect too for this weeks CASology Challenge:Week 89: Joke. I'll also enter it to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week is "Anything goes". I really love how simple and cute this one turned out!

También entraré esta tarjeta a la competencia de Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. El tema de esta semana es "Anything goes" (cualquier cosa). Me gustó mucho cuan sencilla quedó.

In today's card I'm inking for the first time this really cute stamp set I just got! You'll see more from this set. I just love it! I made a CAS card perfect for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge's challenge: Clean and Simple. I also used the Lawn Cuts coordinating with the "Float my Boat" set and "Cole's ABC's". The design paper is from Michael's (Oh! I miss going to Michael's) and I used blue washi tape for the "Hola".

En la tarjeta de hoy utilicé por primera vez este set de sellos que recientemente adquirí. Verán mas proyectos con ese set pues me encantó. Hice una tarjeta CAS perfecta para la competencia de esta semana de Lawnscaping Challenges: Clean and Simple. También usé los troqueles "Lawn Cuts" en coordinación al set "Float my Boat" y el de "Cole's ABC's". El papel de diseño es de la tienda Michael's (que mucho extraño ir a comprar ahí) y "washi tape" azul para el fondo de las letras.

Hello everyone!

I've been very busy making Valentine's day cards and getting ready for the 2nd Scrapbook Convention hosted by Revista Papeles y Más in which I'll be teaching a class. More details about that soon! I loved this stamp set from Unity Stamp Co from the first time I saw it and I HAD to have it. I made this CAS card using it! I masked the lid with washi tape when I stamped the jar. Then inked only the lid and stamped it beside it. I used Memento ink in Tuxedo Black, Copics, rhinestones, red ribbon and a stapler for the final touch. I'll enter this one in the following challenges: CASology: Week 81: And, & CAS-ual Fridays:CFC 127: Over the edge.

He estado bien ocupada haciendo postales de San Valentín y preparándome para la 2da Convención de Scrapbook auspiciada por la  Revista Papeles y Más en la cual estaré enseñando una clase. ¡Pronto, más detalles al respecto! Tan pronto ví este set de sellos de Unity Stamp Co supe que TENIA que tenerlo. Hice una tarjeta CAS con el set. Tapé la parte de la tapa de la jarra con "washi tape" cuando la estampé. Luego puse tinta solo en la tapa para estamparla al lado de la jarra. Utilicé tinta de Memento Ink en Tuxedo Black, Copics, rhinestones, cinta roja y una grapadora para darle el toque final. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a las siguientes competencias: CASology: Week 81: And, & CAS-ual Fridays:CFC 127: Over the edge.

Dulce Navidad/Sweet Xmas

¡Buenos Días!

Hoy tempranito les traigo una dulce tarjeta, bueno realmente son dos. Este set de Lawn Fawn lo había comprado hace algún tiempo y no lo había usado... y que dulce sensación es usar ese set que tanto te gusta por primera vez. ¡¡¡Hay que amar las manualidades para entender el gozo!!! :) El set se llama Sweet Christmas. Hice una niña y un niño de jengibre para esta dulce navidad. ¡Espero les guste! Estaré entrando esta tarjeta en la siguiente competencia: Pinspired Challenge #23. Muy triste que en este diciembre tendrán su última competencia. Pueden ver abajo el "pin" de inspiración.

 

 

Good Morning!

Up and early to bring you a sweet card, well actually two. I bought this Lawn Fawn set a while ago and hadn't had chance to ink it up...and what a sweet feeling you get when inking up a set for the first time. Gotta love stamping to get it!!! :) The set is Sweet Christmas. I did a gingerbread boy and a girl. I hope you like it! I'll be entering this one to  Pinspired Challenge #23. So sad to see them go this December...
