¡Buenos Días!

Aunque aca en Puerto Rico, nuestras Navidades son bajo temperaturas tropicales, no deja de ser hermoso las estampas Navideñas con nieve. Esta tarjeta que les presento hoy es una "shaker" card con sellos de Unity Stamp Co como protagonistas. Hice una mezcla de la técnica de "paper piecing" y colorear con Copics para el venado. Resalté sus patas con "glossy accents" y sus cuernos con pega de brillo. Estampé el mensaje en acetato pues no quería restarle atención ni al venado ni al fondo de la tarjeta. Utilizé lentejuelas en forma de copos de nieve y pequeñas estrellas para el interior de la tarjeta. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a los siguientes retos: Sparkle and Shine nineteen, Simon Says: Let it snow y por ultimo pero no menos importante Unity "Be Inspired" Challenge.

 

 

Good Morning!

Although here in Puerto Rico, Christmas season is enjoyed in tropical temperatures, I still enjoy a good "White Christmas" scene. Today's card is also a shaker card with Unity Stamp Co stamps. I paper pieced and Copic colored the cute reindeer and added glossy accents to his paws and glittered glue to his antlers. I used snowflake shaped and little star sequins for the shaker. I stamped the sentiment on acetate because I just didn't want to take away the focus from the snowflake sequins and the reindeer. I'll enter this card to the following challenges:  Sparkle and Shine nineteen, Simon Says: Let it snow and last but not least Unity "Be Inspired" Challenge.

Hope everyone got a great weekend! Today's card features a cute critter I have used many times. It's a stamp from Lawn Fawn. I think one of the firsts releases... I just love that little owl. This time, Mr Owl is feeling the Christmas spirit in this CAS card. I'll enter it to the following challenges: CASology: Week 174: Owl and Simon Says: Anything goes.

Espero que hayan tenido un gran fin de semana. La tarjeta de hoy tiene como protagonista a un pequeño que he utilizado varias veces. Es un sello de "Lawn Fawn". Creo que de los primeros que sacaron. Es que simplemente me encanta este pequeño búho. Esta vez, el Sr. Búho está sintiendo el espíritu Navideño en esta tarjeta CAS. Nuevamente regreso luego de un tiempo sin escribirles. Espero poder ponerme al día y escribir más frecuente. Hoy les traigo una tarjeta navideña muy dulce. El pingüino fue cortado con mi nueva Cricut Explore Air, la cual me tiene encantada. La imagen la tomé de la librería de imágenes disponibles en la subscripción mensual. Corté a parte el bastón de menta para que el pingüino lo sujetara. El mensaje y los copos de nieve de fondo son sellos de de Lawn Fawn. Le añadí detalles con pega de brillo y "Glossy accents" para darle un toque especial. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta en las competencias de: Simon Says: Thinking of you y Lawnscaping Challenges: thinking of you.

I'm back after a while of not posting. I hope I can post more frequently since I'm up to date in other stuff! Today's card is a sweet Christmas card. The penguin was cut using my new Cricut Explore Air, which I LOVE. The image was available from the monthly subscription and the candy cane too. The sentiment and snowflakes are Lawn Fawn stamps. I added some Glossy Accents and glitter glue to add that special touch. I'll enter the card to the following Challenges: Simon Says: Thinking of you and Lawnscaping Challenges: thinking of you.

Hello Everyone!

Today's card is my second entry for the current Unity -Be Inspired- Challenge. This time I made a CAS design following the colors of the inspiration color photo.31. I got this cute stamp set on one of their amazing sales (they have one right know that is almost imposible to resist!). I just love it. It actually made me think of my best friend. The background was actually a scrap paper I used to clean the brayer I used to paint with acrylic paint when I made this canvas. I loved how it looked so I saved it for a card later. La tarjeta de hoy es mi segunda entrada para el reto actual de Unity -Be Inspired- Challenge. Esta vez hice un diseño CAS siguiendo los colores de la foto de inspiración .31. Compré este lindo set de sellos en una de sus fabulosas ventas (en estos momentos tienen una que está casi imposible de resistir). Me encanta el set. Me hizo pensar en mi mejor amiga. El fondo fue realmente un pedazo de papel en el cual limpié la pintura del rolo que use mientras creaba este canvas. Me gustó como se veía así que lo guardé para un proyecto futuro y aquí está. El zorro lo coloreé con Copics. Today's card is another Father's day card. This one was for my husband. I used Lawn Fawn dies to partial die cut the letters that spell "papa" which is dad in Spanish. To enter the current Lawnscaping Challenges: Stars & Stripes, I used design paper that had stars or stripes. I also added some star shaped wood veneers. I looove die cutting and I love all Lawn Fawn dies. I'll also enter this one to the Simon Says use your favorite technique and/or product challenge from Simon Says Stamp.

La tarjeta de hoy es otra tarjeta para el Día de Padres. Esta es la que le regalé a mi esposo. Usé troqueles de Lawn Fawn para cortar parcialmente las letras para formar la palabra "papá". Para entrar al reto de Lawnscaping Challenges: Stars & Stripes, usé papeles de diseño con rayas y estrellas. También añadí pequeñas estrellas de madera. Me encanta utilizer troqueles y los de Lawn Fawn son mis favoritos. Estaré participando con esta tarjeta también en el reto de Simon Says use your favorite technique and/or product challenge .

Espero que estén listos para el fin de semana. Este viernes les presento esta tarjeta que tiene de protagonista un panda. Este sello es parte de un KOM de Unity Stamp Co. Es adorable. Para crear el fondo usé Distress Paints en varios colores y Color Bloom en Gold Foil. El mensaje fue estampado una vez seca la pintura con la técnica de "heat embossing" con polvo blanco. Corté un globo en papel de escarcha dorado y simulé que el osito panda lo sostenía con hilo blanco y amarillo. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a la competencia de Simon Says Let's get Sentimental y compartiéndola con mis amigos de "Friends with Flair" de Unity. Hello everyone!!!

I hope you guys are ready for the weekend. This Friday I present you a card that features an adorable panda bear. It's a stamp from a KOM from Unity Stamp Co. It is too cute. To create the background I used Distress Paints in various colors and Color Bloom in Gold Foil. The sentiment was heat embossed using white embossing powder and Versamark. I cut a balloon on gold glittered cardstock and added twine so the panda would appear to be holding it. I got some crafting time in my new craft room! Yeay!!!! So happy with my new space. Anyway, I made a few birthday cards I needed. This one is for a cute princess who turned 9 last Sunday. I know she loved it. The dress and the crown are from Lawn Fawn. The die for the crown is also from them. I paper pieced the dress with that cute pink and white polka dot paper from Echo Park paper. The castle is from a stamp set I got a while ago at Michaels. The "Happy" die is from Avery Elle. I used that gold glitter cardstock that I love so much!!!! I also paper pieced some of the parts from the castle and the crown. The other parts I used Copic Markers. I added sequins to complete this card which to be honest, I almost (ALMOST) didn't give away because I loved it so much. The dilemmas of a paper crafter... ¡Al fin pude estrenar bien mi Nuevo espacio de trabajo! Me gusta mucho pues estoy mucho más cómoda. Tuve la oportunidad de hacer varias tarjetas de cumpleaños que necesitaba. Esta tarjeta es para una princesa que cumplió 9 años este pasado domingo. Estoy segura que le encantó su tarjeta. La imagen del traje y la corona son de sellos de Lawn Fawn. El troquel de la corona también es de ellos. Hice la técnica de "paper piecing" para el traje con un lindo papel rosa y puntos blancos de la línea de Echo Park Paper. El Castillo es de un set que adquirí hace ya algún tiempo en la tienda Michaels. El troquel de "Happy" es de la línea de Avery Elle. También usé la técnica de "paper piecing" para algunas parte del Castillo y la corona. Para las restantes, usé marcadores Copics. Añadí lentejuelas para completar la tarjeta que les aseguro que casi (CASI) no regalo de lo mucho me gusto. Estos son los dilemas de nosotr@s los artesanos... Este sello de Lawn Fawn me gusta mucho. He usado en específico el fondo de estrellas ya en varios proyectos. Para este proyecto, las estrellas dicen presente nuevamente pero de una manera muy sutil. El protagonista en esta ocasión es el arco iris. Usé colores que coordinan con el papel de diseño de una libreta 6x6 de Echo Park (Capture Life). El "wood veneer" me lo habían regalado hace algún tiempo y quedó perfecto en esta tarjeta. El troquel de foto es de Lawn Fawn. Al marco de la foto, le dí textura con la técnica de "dry embossing". Usé "scraps" de otros papeles para hacer banderines que fijé con una "cámara". Añadí hilo dorado para un toquecito de brillo. Estaré entrando la tarjeta a la competencia de Simon Says All things bright and beautiful.

This Lawn Fawn set is one of my favorites (I honestly can't pick just one). I've used the stars background in quite a few projects. In this card, the stars are present but very subtle in the background. The main image this time is the rainbow. I used inks that coordinated with the design paper from a 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park (Capture Life). I had that wood veneer in my stash but don't remember from what company. The picture die is from Lawn Fawn too. I dry embossed it for some texture with the Cuttlebug. I used scraps from other papers to make the flags to which I added a camera shaped pin. I added some gold thread to add some sparkle to the card. I'll enter this card to the Simon Says All things bright and beautiful challenge.

Well, February is here so in two weeks most of us will be stuffing our faces with chocolate (like I need an excuse for it LOL). I already started making Valentine's day cards a few days back. I made this one using Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. I dry embossed the clouds for some dimension and the hot air balloon was paper pieced. The little hearts were also die cut using Lawn Cuts. The sentiment stamp is from Latina Crafter. The background was color with Distress Inks. By now you guys should know that I love making cards starting with only white cardstock! I'll enter this one to: Cut it up Challenge #63: embossing and Simon Says anything goes.

Bueno, ya llegó febrero así que en menos de dos semanas la mayoría estaremos comiendo chocolates (como si hiciera falta una excusa para eso jijiji). Yo comencé a hacer mis tarjetas de San Valentín ya hace unos días. Para esta tarjeta usé sellos y troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Con la técnica de "dry embossing" le dí textura a las nubes. Los pequeños corazones también fueron cortados con troqueles Lawn Cuts. El mensaje es un sello de Latina Crafter. El color de fondo es Distress Inks. Como ya Deben saber, me encanta comenzar una tarjeta con solo cartulina blanca y yo darle forma y color. Entraré la tarjeta a las siguientes competencias: Cut it up Challenge #63: embossing y Simon Says anything goes.

Está muy de moda el utilizer acuarelas en la tarjetería. Les confieso que no soy experta con esta técnica ni tampoco tengo algún set de acuarelas de marcas reconocidas. Me gusta mucho el toque delicado que dá a una tarjeta el colorear con acuarelas. Para la tarjeta de hoy, practiqué un poco con esta técnica. Le añadí  perlas las cuales coloreé con Copics. Los sellos son de Unity Stamp Co. Estaré entrando la tarjeta a la competencia de CAS-ual Fridays: CFC: Must love Watercolors y a Simon Says Anything goes.

Watercoloring on cards has been very popular for a while now. I'm not an expert using watercolors and I don't own any fancy watercolors either but I really like how delicate it looks. For today's card I practiced a bit today. I added some pearls which I colored with Copics to complete the delicate look. The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co. Hoy les traigo otra tarjeta del estilo que tanto me gusta, CAS, sencilla y elegante. Usé cartulina blanca, y pintura de acrílico diluida en agua para el fondo. Los corazones son en fieltro y los corte con troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Para las letras, utilicé esa cartulina escarchada que compré en Navidades de la que he usado cada pequeño pedazo que he cortado pues me encanta. Las corté también con troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Complete la tarjeta con lentejuelas rojas. Estaré entrando la tarjeta a las competencias de CAS-ual Fridays:CFC135: Felt and sequins y en Simon Says Have a Heart.

Today's card is made in my favorite style, CAS. I used white cardstock and some paint diluted in water which I sprayed to make the background. The felt hearts were die cut using Lawn Cuts from Lawn Fawn. For the letters, which read "Te amo" (I love you), I used that glittered cardstock in gold I got on Christmas. I've used every little piece I've cut because I just simple love it. I used a Lawn Fawn die for those too. I completed the card with red sequins. I'll be entering it to the CAS-ual Fridays:CFC135: Felt and sequins and Simon Says Have a Heart.

First blog post of the new year. I know, kinda late. Sorry for that! Today's card is the first one I make for the upcoming Valentine's Day. I don't know if I have written about this before, but Valentine's day is not my favorite holiday. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE making cards for it, but don't actually enjoy the holiday. Why? I have no idea! LOL Well, I finally had the chance to ink 2 Lawn Fawn sets that had been sitting on my table for a while know. I made this card for the "Create a background" Challenge from Lawnscaping Challenges. I used "Wished you were here", "Argyle backdrops", "Schoolhouse backdrops" and "Woodgrain backdrops". I colored the world with watercolors. I will also add this one to the Simon Says Have a Heart Challenge.

La primera entrada que hago para este nuevo año. Lo sé, un poco tarde. ¡Lo siento mucho! La tarjeta de hoy es la primera que hago para el Día de San Valentín. No sé si he escrito esto antes, pero la realidad es que este día feriado no es mi favorite. No me tomen a mal, me ENCANTA hacer tarjetas para la ocasión, pero no disfruto de celebrar el día. ¿Por qué? ¡Ni idea! jajaja Bueno, al fin tuve la oportunidad de usar dos sets de sellos de Lawn Fawn que llevaban un tiempo sobre mi mesa de trabajo. Hice esta tarjeta para la competencia de  "Create a background" Challenge from Lawnscaping Challenges. Usé los sets: "Wished you were here", "Argyle backdrops", "Schoolhouse backdrops" y "Woodgrain backdrops". Coloreé el mundo con acuarelas. Estaré añadiendo la tarjeta también al siguiente reto, Simon Says Have a Heart Challenge.

I'm in love with this Lawn Fawn set. I can't stop using it!!! I made a birthday card with it. First I made the backgroung. I heat embossed with clear embossing powder the anchors and stamped with Versamark little hearts randomly. Then, I created the sky with Distress inks and clouds I fussy cut. I created the waves and colored them with watercolors. I used the coordinating dies for the boat and  the lifesaver. A wavy "happy birthday" completes it. I'll enter this one to Simon Says Die crazy Challenge.

Estoy enamorada de este set de sellos de Lawn Fawn. ¡No puedo parar de usarlo! En esta ocasión hice una tarjeta de cumpleaños. Primero hice el diseño de fondo. Con la técnica de "heat embossing" y polvo transparente estampé las anclas y luego solo con Versamark estampé corazones al azar. El cielo lo hice usando "Distress Inks" y nubes que corté yo misma. Estampé las olas y las coloreé con acuarelas. Utilicé los troqueles en coordinación para el bote y el salvavidas. Un "Happy Birthday" ondulada completa la tarjeta. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a la competencia de  Simon Says Die crazy Challenge.

¡Hola!

Hoy les traigo otra entrada de la serie "Inspired". Hace poco asistí a una hermosa fiesta de cumpleaños de 1 añito de una pequeña princesa. De regalo, le compré un lindo set de ropa (ver foto abajo) perfecto para el verano, que a su vez, usé de inspiración para la tarjeta de cumpleaños. Para la tarjeta usé papel de diseño de Stampin Up y sellos de Lawn Fawn ("Cruising through life") y Latina Crafter ("Frases para toda ocasión") . Para el fondo rosa usé acuarelas. No van a creer algo. Esas acuarelas me las regaló mi mama hace más de 20 años como parte de un set de arte. ¡Todavía funcionan! Estuve a punto de comprar acuarelas y recordé que tenía ese set guardado. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a la competencia de esta semana de Simon Monday Challenge de Simon Says Stamps (Challenge: M) ya que la fiesta fue en mayo.

Welcome to another post for the "Inspired Series". A few days ago, I went to a beautiful first birthday party for a little princess. As a gift, I bought a cute summer set (see pic above) perfect for the summer which also served as an inspiration for the birthday card. I used design paper from Stampin Up and stamps from Lawn Fawn ("Cruising through life") and Latina Crafter ("Frases para toda ocasión"). For the pink background I used watercolors. You wont believe this... Those watercolors are part of an art set my mom gave me more than 20 years ago. It still works!! I was about to buy watercolors and I remembered I had those in my old closet. I'll enter this card to this week's Simon Monday Challenge de Simon Says Stamps (Challenge: M) since the party was in May.

I used the "Forever Young" Cricut cartridge to cut the silhouette. The stamps are from Lawn Fawn (Penelope's Blossom) and Latina Crafter. I'll also enter this one to Simon Says Keep it Clean and Simple.

¡La flor más bonita de mi jardín definitivo es MI MADRE! Así que, para la competencia de esta semana de  CASology Challenge: Week 92:Garden hice una tarjeta para el Día de las Madres. Today's card is a fun one, pun intended! I used stamps from Neat and Tangled and different colors of cardstock . I used the colors from this weeks Runway Inspired Challenge: #57 for inspiration. The stamps I used makes it perfect too for this weeks CASology Challenge:Week 89: Joke. I'll also enter it to this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week is "Anything goes". I really love how simple and cute this one turned out!

También entraré esta tarjeta a la competencia de Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. El tema de esta semana es "Anything goes" (cualquier cosa). Me gustó mucho cuan sencilla quedó.

Hoy les traigo una tarjetita con transparencias. Hace algún tiempo que no utilizaba acetato en algún proyecto. Esta tarjeta sirve para felicitar en cualquier ocasión. Usé el torquel de Lawn Fawn "Stitched journaling card" para el fondo junto con "Distress inks". El arcoiris lo corté con el troquel de Spellbinders "standard circles large" en cartulina escarchada y las nubes las corté con la Cricut y el cartucho "Everyday Paper dolls". El sello es de Latina Crafter. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a las siguientes competencias: Cut it up Challenge #41: Anything goes, CASology:Week 88: Lucky and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Transparent.

Today's card has transparencies. It has been a while since I incorporated acetate in any project. This card is perfect to congratulate someone on any occasion. I used Lawn Fawn's  "Stitched journaling card" with Distress inks. I cut the rainbow using Spellbinders "standard circles large" in glittered cardstock and the clouds were cut in my Cricut using "Everyday paper dolls" cartridge. The sentiment stamp is from Latina Crafter. I'll enter this one to the following challenges:  Cut it up Challenge #41: Anything goes, CASology:Week 88: Lucky and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Transparent.

Hoy les traigo una tarjeta que disfruté mucho hacer. Utilicé muchos "distress inks". Quería hacer una tarjeta con los bellos globos del set "Blue Skies" de Lawn Fawn pero no tenía ganas de colorear con Copics así que usé los "distress ink" y esponjas. Para recrear el cielo, corté en papel simulando nubes, lo coloqué encima de la cartulina blanca que ya había cortado con este troquel y lo pinté con el color "tumbled glass". Para los globos, primero hice la técnica de "heat embossing" con polvo transparente y luego lo pinté con los colores "worn lipstick", "mustard seed" y "vintage photo". Los recorté y coloqué en la tarjeta. El mensaje es de Latina Crafter. Usé "stickles" en color "cotton candy" para darle un toque de brillo. Hi everyone!

I enjoyed a lot making the card I'm presenting today. I used a lot of different Distress inks. I wanted to make a card with the cute hot air balloons from the "Blue Skies" set (Lawn Fawn) but I didn't want to use Copics to color it so I used the Distress Inks with daubers. To make the sky, I fussy cut clouds in some scrap cardstock I had. Then I taped it on top of a piece of white cardstock that I had die cut with this die and colored it with the color "tumbled glass". For the balloons, I first heat embossed with clear embossing powder the balloons, then colored with "worn lipstick", "mustard seed" and "vintage photo". The sentiment is from "Latina Crafter". I also used Stickles (cotton candy) to glitter up the card. I'll be entering this one to  Simon Wednesday Challenge: Glitter it and I'll share it on scrapbookpal.com "Share your project".
