Hello!

Today's card is the 2nd one I'll enter to the following challenges: CASology: Week 173: Pretty and CAS-ual Fridays: CFC145: Precious Metals. I'll also share it with the Unity Stamp Co's Brown Thursday Blog Hop . I kept this one VERY simple. I heat embossed the sentiment (Unity Stamp Co) with gold embossing powder and added gold thread. La tarjeta de hoy es la segunda que entraré en los siguientes retos: CASology: Week 173: Pretty y CAS-ual Fridays: CFC145: Precious Metals. También estaré compartiendo la tarjeta con Unity Stamp Co's Brown Thursday Blog Hop  Quise mantener el diseño de esta tarjeta muy simple. Con la técnica de "Heat Embossing" con polvo dorado, estampé el mensaje (Unity Stamp Co) y añadí hilo dorado. Espero que les guste y que tengan un super fin de semana.

Hoy les traigo la primera de dos tarjetas que voy a entrar en el reto actual de CAS-ual Fridays CFC:145: Precious Metals. El niñito Jesús y la estrella las corté con mi Cricut Explore Air que compré hace poquito en Blitsy en una super oferta. El rectángulo de cartulina blanca la corté con un troquel de Lawn Fawn. Le di color para recrear el cielo de la noche con Distress Inks y un bolígrafo de tinta dorada. El mensaje es un sello de Latina Crafter. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta también al reto de Latina Crafter #LCSC53. y en CASology: Week 173: Pretty

Hi everyone!

Today's card is the first of two cards I'll enter in CAS-ual Fridays CFC:145: Precious Metals. The baby Jesus and the Star were cut using my new Cricut Explore Air which I got for a great deal a few weeks ago on Blitsy. The rectangle is a die from Lawn Fawn. I colored using Distress Inks and a gold gel marker to recreate a night scene. The sentiment is a stamp from Latina Crafter. I'll also enter this card to Latina Crafter #LCSC53. challenge and CASology: Week 173: Pretty.

Flamingo

Esta es mi segunda entrada del día. Esta tarjeta que les presento, la hice en un momentito que pude escaparme a mi taller. Estaba loca por participar en algunas competencias de las que sigo. En serio, que ya no aguantaba más. Combiné varias competencias para esta tarjeta. Los colores que utilicé están inspirados en la foto del reto de Runway Inspired Challenges RIC#89. Tan pronto ví la foto y sus colores pensé FLAMINGO. La imagen es de este set de Unity Stamp Co. Me encanta este set. Ya lo he usado en varias tarjetas. El flamingo lo coloreé con Copics. El patrón de "chevrons" fue hecho con un set de Latina Crafter con tinta negra al igual que el mensaje de "Feliz Cumpleaños". Por eso la tarjeta también la entraré en el reto de CAS-ual Fridays CFC142: Pretty Patterns. El flamingo se podría considerar un animal acuático ya que pasan mucho tiempo parados en el agua, así que entraré la tarjeta en el reto de CASology: Week 159: aquatic. Completé en diseño con lentejuelas plateadas siguiendo el esquema de colores de Runway Inspired Challenge.

This is my second entry of the day. I made this card also on a little break I had to escape to my craft room and play a little bit. I just couldn't wait any longer to enter some of the challenges I follow. I really couldn't! I combined 3 challenges on this card. The color combo for this card was inspired by the inspiration photo of the Runway Inspired Challenges RIC#89. As soon I saw the picture I thought FLAMINGO. The image is from this Unity Stamp Co set which I LOVE! I've done a few cards using it already. I colored the flamingo with Copics. The chevron pattern was done with a set from "Latina Crafter" stamps, as well as the sentiment, using black ink. Because of the pattern I created, I'm entering it too to the  CAS-ual Fridays CFC142: Pretty Patterns challenge. The flamingo could be considered an aquatic animal since they spend a LOT of time in water, so I'm also entering it to the  CASology: Week 159: aquatic. challenge. I complete the design with some silver sequins following the color combo of the Runway Inspired Challenge.

Esta tarjeta es perfecta para subirle el ánimo a cualquiera. Como ven, es una tarjeta CAS, mi estilo favorite. Los sellos y troqueles son de Lawn Fawn. ¡Muy sencilla pero directo al grano! I've been following the CAS-ual Fridays blog for a while now. They are celebrating 4 years of challenges. This week's challenge is to create a CAS Bday card with the colors white, black, orange and turquoise. I used different color cardstock and then heat embossed the sentiment (Lawn Fawn) in white. I decorated then with Sprinkles in the coordinating colors. Happy Bday CAS-ual Fridays!!!

He seguido el blog de CAS-ual Fridays por un tiempo ya. Ellos se encuentran celebrando su 4to aniversario. El reto de esta semana es crear una tarjeta CAS de cumpleaños con los colores anaranjado, turquesa, blanco y negro. Usé cartulina de estos colores y luego con la técnica de "heat embossing" estampé el mensaje que es un sello de Lawn Fawn en blanco. Decoré la tarjeta con "Sprinkles" de los colores en coordinación. ¡Muchas felicidades a todo el equipo de CAS-ual Fridays!

Watercolors/Acuarelas

¡Hola!

Está muy de moda el utilizer acuarelas en la tarjetería. Les confieso que no soy experta con esta técnica ni tampoco tengo algún set de acuarelas de marcas reconocidas. Me gusta mucho el toque delicado que dá a una tarjeta el colorear con acuarelas. Para la tarjeta de hoy, practiqué un poco con esta técnica. Le añadí  perlas las cuales coloreé con Copics. Los sellos son de Unity Stamp Co. Estaré entrando la tarjeta a la competencia de CAS-ual Fridays: CFC: Must love Watercolors y a Simon Says Anything goes.

Watercoloring on cards has been very popular for a while now. I'm not an expert using watercolors and I don't own any fancy watercolors either but I really like how delicate it looks. For today's card I practiced a bit today. I added some pearls which I colored with Copics to complete the delicate look. The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co. I'll be entering it to: CAS-ual Fridays: CFC: Must love Watercolors & Simon Says Anything goes.

Hoy les traigo otra tarjeta del estilo que tanto me gusta, CAS, sencilla y elegante. Usé cartulina blanca, y pintura de acrílico diluida en agua para el fondo. Los corazones son en fieltro y los corte con troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Para las letras, utilicé esa cartulina escarchada que compré en Navidades de la que he usado cada pequeño pedazo que he cortado pues me encanta. Las corté también con troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Complete la tarjeta con lentejuelas rojas. Estaré entrando la tarjeta a las competencias de CAS-ual Fridays:CFC135: Felt and sequins y en Simon Says Have a Heart.

Today's card is made in my favorite style, CAS. I used white cardstock and some paint diluted in water which I sprayed to make the background. The felt hearts were die cut using Lawn Cuts from Lawn Fawn. For the letters, which read "Te amo" (I love you), I used that glittered cardstock in gold I got on Christmas. I've used every little piece I've cut because I just simple love it. I used a Lawn Fawn die for those too. I completed the card with red sequins. I'll be entering it to the CAS-ual Fridays:CFC135: Felt and sequins and Simon Says Have a Heart.

Today's card features a first for me! It's the first one I make using real stitching! I don't own a big sewing machine but I bought a while ago one of those hand held sewing thingies I had not tried it out. So, it is just a tiny line but I hope to do a bit more in the near future. I'll enter today's card to this week's CAS-ual Fridays: CFC131: Three Thirds. This card has three strips of paper, three different patterned papers and the wood veneer of the butterfly has three tiny holes in each wing! :)

La tarjeta de hoy tiene algo especial. ¡Es la primera vez que hago una costura real en una tarjeta! No tengo una maquina de coser grande pero hace algún tiempo que compré una de las pequeñas inalambricas y no la había utilizado. Me encantó así que verán más costuras en futuros proyectos. La tarjeta la estaré entrando en la competencia de esta semana de CAS-ual Fridays: CFC131: Three Thirds. Esta tarjeta tiene tres tiras de papel, tres papeles de diseño diferentes y la mariposa de madera tiene tres pequeños rotos en cada ala. :)

I finally started making Mother's day cards! I have so many ideas in mind that I wish I could be stamping 24 hours a day. Today's card features stamps from Unity Stamp Co. I love this stamp and now even more since I'm a mother. The sentiment is from this stamp set. I used the colors from the first challenge of my friend  Scrapper Myra: Color Challenge. Again a late post! My mini spiderman has kept me really busy!!! ;) With grandma's help, I got to spend time in my craft room this week and made a few cards. Today's card is a simple yet powerful one. I really like the message in it! I used a Unity Stamp Co stamp called "Storms make deeper roots" which makes the card perfect for this week's CASology Challenge Week 86. The cue card is "Roots". I'll also enter this card for CAS-ual Fridays: CFC129: Shades of Gray and I'll share it with my friends from Unity for the "Friends with Flair"

¡Otra entrada tarde! ¡Mi pequeño hombre araña me ha tenido muy ocupada esta semana! Con la ayuda de abuelita, pude crear un poco esta semana y hacer varias tarjetas. La tarjeta de hoy es simple pero con un mensaje profundo. Usé un sello de Unity Stamp Co llamado "Storms make deeper roots" el cual hace que la tarjeta sea perfecta para la competencia de esta semana de CASology Challenge Week 86. La palabra clave es "Roots", raices. Hello everyone!

I've been very busy making Valentine's day cards and getting ready for the 2nd Scrapbook Convention hosted by Revista Papeles y Más in which I'll be teaching a class. More details about that soon! I loved this stamp set from Unity Stamp Co from the first time I saw it and I HAD to have it. I made this CAS card using it! I masked the lid with washi tape when I stamped the jar. Then inked only the lid and stamped it beside it. I used Memento ink in Tuxedo Black, Copics, rhinestones, red ribbon and a stapler for the final touch. I'll enter this one in the following challenges: CASology: Week 81: And, & CAS-ual Fridays:CFC 127: Over the edge.

He estado bien ocupada haciendo postales de San Valentín y preparándome para la 2da Convención de Scrapbook auspiciada por la  Revista Papeles y Más en la cual estaré enseñando una clase. ¡Pronto, más detalles al respecto! Tan pronto ví este set de sellos de Unity Stamp Co supe que TENIA que tenerlo. Hice una tarjeta CAS con el set. Tapé la parte de la tapa de la jarra con "washi tape" cuando la estampé. Luego puse tinta solo en la tapa para estamparla al lado de la jarra. Utilicé tinta de Memento Ink en Tuxedo Black, Copics, rhinestones, cinta roja y una grapadora para darle el toque final. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a las siguientes competencias: CASology: Week 81: And, & CAS-ual Fridays:CFC 127: Over the edge.

La tarjeta que les presento hoy está inspirada en la competencia de CAS-ual Fridays: CFC125: In a word. Este año 2014 está lleno de muchos planes tanto para mi como para lo que es Maia Ink. Espero que poco a poco pueda ir concretando los planes que tengo y este año marca el inicio de hacer esto realidad. Así que la palabra a la que hago énfasis en la tarjeta es "Sky", cielo. Solo el cielo es el límite para mi. Estoy muy positive al respecto. ¡Así que manos a la obra! Cuentenme ustedes sobre sus planes para este año que apenas comienza... :)

I hope to achieve step by step each one of my goals and this year marks the beginning of it. So the word I highlighted was "Sky" because, really, the sky will only be my limit. I did a Christmas Tree with buttons I had in my stash. The stamp is from Latina Crafter. I complete the look with Baker's Twine. Simple and Elegant: I LOVE IT ;)

So many Holidays just around the corner and that makes me soooo excited! I really need to start making my Christmas cards eeekkkk! Anyway, today's project is a bag with a tag for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC118:Tags and Bags. I love using brown paper bags for gifts. There's something about how simple it is you can customize it. Here's one perfect for Thanksgiving's Day. Well, see you tomorrow with another project!

¡Muchos días festivos cercas lo que me emociona! :D Necesito empezar YA a hacer las tarjetas de Navidad. Bueno, el proyecto de hoy es una bolsa de regalo con su etiqueta para la competencia   CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC118:Tags and Bags. Me gustan mucho las bolsas de papel marrón como envoltura para regalos. Las encuentro sencillas y a la vez puedo personalizarla. Esta es perfecta para el Día de Acción de Gracias. Bueno, los espero mañana con otro nuevo proyecto.

Me gusta mucho esta temporada del año pues la temperatura comienza a bajar, aunque aquí en Puerto Rico actualmente estamos bajo una onda de calor intenso. A parte de las temperaturas más agradables, me encantan los colores otoñales. Hoy les presento una tarjeta CAS perfecta para agradecerle a esa persona especial todo lo que ha hecho por tí ;) Utilizé sellos y troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Para dar los colores otoñales usé lapices de colores de acuarela (Stampin Up) en papel de acuarela. Para darle un toque final utilizé lentejuelas. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a las siguientes competencias: CAS-ual Fridays:CFC115 Fall Colors and a leaf y en Simon Says Stamp Challenges: Anything goes.

I like Autumn because temperatures start to get lower although here in Puerto Rico were under an extreme heat wave right now. In addition to the nicer temperatures, I love autumn colors. Today I'm presenting a CAS card perfect to say thanks to that special someone that did something for you :) I used Lawn fawn stamps and Lawn Cuts. For the Autumn colors I used Watercolor Pencils (Stampin Up) on watercolor paper. I gave it a little sparkle with sequins. I'll be entering this one in the following challenges: CAS-ual Fridays:CFC115 Fall Colors and a leaf & en Simon Says Stamp Challenges: Anything goes.

Today I'm presenting another card for Father's Day or "The king of the house". All stamps are from Lawn Fawn. The sentiments reads "Para el Rey de la Casa" which means "For the king of the house". I love this card because it reminds me of my father. He seats down on his couch everyday after work to watch TV. I hope you like it! Se que los tengo abandonados!!! Mis disculpas. He estado muy ocupadita con mi bebé entre otras cosas. Desde la última vez que les escribí han pasado varias cositas. Fuí publicada nuevamente en la Revista Papeles y Más en su edición de abril-mayo. También fui la ganadora de la competencia "Stitching" del blog Lawnscaping Challenges. Presiona aquí para ver el enlace. Todavía estoy muy contenta por esto. Así que con más ánimos regreso a las competencias. Hoy les present esta tarjeta para la competencia de CAS-ual Fridays CFC100 Top 10 tic tac toe. Escogí la primera línea: polka dots, kraft, punches or dies. Utilizé un ponchador de círculo para crear las bombas cuyos patrones son estampados a mano. Ese perrito es una de mis imagines favoritas de Lawn Fawn. Utilizé cartulina kraft como base de la tarjeta. Una tarjeta sencilla y chulita. ¡Espero les guste!

I know I've gone for a while!!! I'm so sorry but I've been very busy with my baby among other things. Since the last time I posted, a few exciting things have happened. I was published again with a Mother's Day card in the magazine Revista Papeles y Más in its April-May edition. I was also selected Queen of the Green in the Stitching Challenge on Lawnscaping Challenges blog. Click hhere to see the announcement. I'm still soooo excited about that one. So here I am, ready for more challenges. Today I'm presenting you guys a card for CAS-ual Fridays CFC100 Top 10 tic tac toe. I chose the first line: polka dots, kraft, punches or dies. I used a circle punch to make the ballons which are also hand stamped. That doggie is one of my favorite images from Lawn Fawn. I also used the kraft cardstock as base for the card. A simple and cute card. Hope you like it! Till later!
