Inspired Series: Bicycle

¡Hola!

Hoy les traigo otra entrada de la serie "Inspired". Hace poco asistí a una hermosa fiesta de cumpleaños de 1 añito de una pequeña princesa. De regalo, le compré un lindo set de ropa (ver foto abajo) perfecto para el verano, que a su vez, usé de inspiración para la tarjeta de cumpleaños. Para la tarjeta usé papel de diseño de Stampin Up y sellos de Lawn Fawn ("Cruising through life") y Latina Crafter ("Frases para toda ocasión") . Para el fondo rosa usé acuarelas. No van a creer algo. Esas acuarelas me las regaló mi mama hace más de 20 años como parte de un set de arte. ¡Todavía funcionan! Estuve a punto de comprar acuarelas y recordé que tenía ese set guardado. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a la competencia de esta semana de Simon Monday Challenge de Simon Says Stamps (Challenge: M) ya que la fiesta fue en mayo.

Welcome to another post for the "Inspired Series". A few days ago, I went to a beautiful first birthday party for a little princess. As a gift, I bought a cute summer set (see pic above) perfect for the summer which also served as an inspiration for the birthday card. I used design paper from Stampin Up and stamps from Lawn Fawn ("Cruising through life") and Latina Crafter ("Frases para toda ocasión"). For the pink background I used watercolors. You wont believe this... Those watercolors are part of an art set my mom gave me more than 20 years ago. It still works!! I was about to buy watercolors and I remembered I had those in my old closet. I'll enter this card to this week's Simon Monday Challenge de Simon Says Stamps (Challenge: M) since the party was in May.

This month's "Inspired" project is a birthday card. It's inspired by a visit I did last summer with my stepsons and baby JT to the Children's Museum in Carolina, Puerto Rico. We had a lot of fun that day! From all the exhibits there, the kids learned a lot in one from the Universe. It had this computer thing in the middle where an employee selected a planet from the Solar System and the huge ball in the middle lighted up with the image of the planets and he then gave very interesting info of that planet (see pic below). I'm planning to take them again to the museum soon. If you visit PR, and have kids, it's a must go. So, I made an space bday card, future robot included. I used a stamp set from Michael's, Stampin' Up & Lawn Fawn and lots of distress inks and Copics.

El proyecto "Inspired" de este mes es una tarjeta de cumpleaños. Está inspirada por la visita que dimos mis hijastros, JT y yo al Museo del Niño en Carolina, Puerto Rico el pasado verano. ¡Que mucho nos divertimos ese día! De todas las exhibiciones, los chicos aprendieron mucho en una que era del Universo. Tenía una computadora al centro donde un empleado seleccionaba un planeta del Sistema Solar y una bola gigante se prendía con la imagen del planeta entonces él daba datos interesantes sobre el planeta. Estoy planificando volver a llevarlos pronto. Si visitas a PR y tienes niños, deben ir. Pues, hice una tarjeta de cumpleaños espacial, robot incluido. Usé sellos de Lawn Fawn, Stampin Up y Michael's más mucho "distress inks" y Copics.

¡Hola!

Hoy les presento una tarjeta con un mensaje muy bonito. A veces es difícil expresarle a alguien que uno aprecia y quiere que pueden contar con el apoyo de uno. ¡Pues esta tarjeta hace la tarea más fácil! Todos conocemos a alguien que está pasando por una situación difícil. Esta tarjeta es como la palmadita en la espalda que dice "no estas sol@".  Me inspire en la canción "Heart and Shoulder" de Heather Nova. Esa canción me encanta desde la primera vez que la escuche allá para los tiempos de "Dawson's Creek".  Utilicé Lawn Fawn stamps, Copics, alfiler,  y "Crystal effects" de Stampin Up para las gotas de agua. Recuerden: NUNCA estamos solos ;) Entraré esta tarjeta a la competencia de Lawnscaping Challenges 75: Dots and Hearts ya que tiene puntos y está hecha con amor <3!

Today's card has a pretty message. Sometimes is hard to express to somebody you care about that they can count on you. This card makes it easy to say. It says it for you! Everybody knows somebody that is going through some tough times. This card is like that  pat in the shoulder that says "It'll be alright". I was inspired by the song "Heart and Shoulder" from Heather Nova. I love this song since the first time I heard it back in the Dawson's Creek days. I used Lawn Fawn stamps, Copics, pin, and Crystal Effects for the rain drops. Inspired Series/ Inspirada

Hello Everyone!

This year I'm adding new "sections" to my blog. One of them is "Inspired". I'll take anything (a picture, a song, a pin, a movie) and create something inspired by that. It could be a card, a layout or any other project. I'll start doing this section every other month until I catch up and organize myself. My plan is to post monthly, the second Wednesday of the month. 

Well, today's project is inspired by the pin you see below. I made this as a gift for my sister-in-law. Her favorite color is pink so I tried to incorporate that. Some of the flowers and the letters were die cut (Cricut). The others I made them with a scallop punch. I added glitters to the border of the flowers. I bought the board marker and attached it with some Velcro. I love this! Not that post its aren't cute, but this is cuter. I hope you get inspired by this too.

¡Hola a todos!

Este año añadiré nuevas secciones a mi blog. Una de ellas es "Inspirada". Escogeré cualquier cosa (una foto, canción, pin, película) y crearé algo inspirada en eso. Podría ser una tarjeta, un "layout" o cualquier otro proyecto. Empezaré esta sección cada dos meses hasta que me ponga al día con mi agenda pues la meta es hacer una entrada mensual, el segundo miércoles del mes.

Bueno, el proyecto de hoy fue inspirado en el "pin" que ven arriba. Hice esto para regular a mi cuñada. Su color favorite es rosa así que lo incorporé en el proyecto. Algunas de las flores y las letras fueron cortadas con la Cricut. Otras flores las hice con ponchador de "scallop". Añadí brillo a los bordes de las flores. Compré un marcador de pizarra y lo pegué al marco utilizando Velcro. Es una forma original para recorder las cosas y sin desperdicios de papelitos. Espero que los haya inspirado.
