¡Hola!

Primero, quiero felicitar a todos los padres que celebraron ayer su día. Yo la pasé muy bien en familia. Aquí les presento la tarjeta que preparé para mi papá. Para esta, usé papeles de Simple Stories, de varias libretas 6 x 6. La corbata la corté utilizando la Cricut y el cartucho "Everyday Paper dolls". Los sellos son de Latina Crafter. Para darle brillo, hice "heat embossing" con color dorado más decoré con lentejuelas. Seguí el "sketch" del reto corriente de Sparkle and Shine #7 y usé papeles de diseño con rayas y estrellas para el reto de Cut it up Challenges: Stars and Stripes.

First, I want to say Happy Father's Day to all that celebrated it yesterday. I had a great time with my family yesterday. Here I present you the card I made for my father. For it, I used Simple Stories 6 x 6 paper pads. The tie was die cut using a Cricut and the "Everyday Paper Dolls" cartridge. The stamps are from Latina Crafter. To add shine to it, I heat embossed in gold and added sequins. I followed the sketch for the current  Sparkle and Shine #7 and used design paper with stars and stripes for the Cut it up Challenges: Stars and Stripes.

The pretties flower in my garden is definitively MY MOM! So, for this week's CASology Challenge: Week 92:Garden I made a Mother's day card. I used the "Forever Young" Cricut cartridge to cut the silhouette. The stamps are from Lawn Fawn (Penelope's Blossom) and Latina Crafter. I'll also enter this one to Simon Says Keep it Clean and Simple.

¡La flor más bonita de mi jardín definitivo es MI MADRE! Así que, para la competencia de esta semana de  CASology Challenge: Week 92:Garden hice una tarjeta para el Día de las Madres. I'm back after a few days of vacation. I REALLY needed a bit of sand, water and sun from the beautiful beaches of Puerto Rico! I'm back with this birthday card I made for Cut it up Challenge #43: Birthday card. I used the Cricut cartridge "Celebrate with Flourish" and the design papers are from the "Say Cheese" collection from Simple Stories. The stamps used are from Unity Stamp Co. I completed the card with sequins and twine for the balloons.

Aquí de vuelta luego de unos días de vacaciones. ¡Realmente  NECESITABA un poco de arena, agua y sol de mis hermosas playas de Puerto Rico! Estoy de vuelta con esta tarjeta que hice para la competencia de Cut it up Challenge #43: Birthday card. Usé el cartucho de Cricut llamado "Celebrate with Flourish" y papel de diseño de la colección "Say Cheese" de Simple Stories. Los sellos que utilicé son de Unity Stamp Co. Completé la tarjeta con lentejuelas e hilo para los globos.

Hope everybody is having a great weekend! Today I bring you a mini album. I learned to do this from a friend a while ago. It takes a few hours to make it but I love it. I like to give this as a gift for High School seniors. It's a cute way to keep their friends good bye messages and add a few small pics. I made this one for my sister-in-law. I made in her favorite colors. I used stamps from Unity Stamp Co and Lawn Fawn. The letters were die cut with Cricut. I'll enter this project to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything goes with buttons.

Espero que todos estén disfrutando de su fin de semana. Hoy les traigo un mini album. Aprendí a hacer este álbum hace algún tiempo con una amiga. Toma unas horas completer el proyecto pero me encanta. Me gusta regalar este tipo de álbum a estudiantes de escuela superior que se gradúan de 4to año. Es una manera muy linda de guardar los mensajes de despedida de sus amigos y añadir una cuantas fotos pequeñas. Hice ente para mi cuñada en sus colores favoritos. Usé sellos de Lawn Fawn y Unity Stamp Co. Las letras fueron cortadas con Cricut.  Estaré entrando este proyecto a la competencia de Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything goes with buttons.

Hoy les traigo una tarjetita con transparencias. Hace algún tiempo que no utilizaba acetato en algún proyecto. Esta tarjeta sirve para felicitar en cualquier ocasión. Usé el torquel de Lawn Fawn "Stitched journaling card" para el fondo junto con "Distress inks". El arcoiris lo corté con el troquel de Spellbinders "standard circles large" en cartulina escarchada y las nubes las corté con la Cricut y el cartucho "Everyday Paper dolls". El sello es de Latina Crafter. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a las siguientes competencias: Cut it up Challenge #41: Anything goes, CASology:Week 88: Lucky and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Transparent.

Today's card has transparencies. It has been a while since I incorporated acetate in any project. This card is perfect to congratulate someone on any occasion. I used Lawn Fawn's  "Stitched journaling card" with Distress inks. I cut the rainbow using Spellbinders "standard circles large" in glittered cardstock and the clouds were cut in my Cricut using "Everyday paper dolls" cartridge. The sentiment stamp is from Latina Crafter. I'll enter this one to the following challenges:  Cut it up Challenge #41: Anything goes, CASology:Week 88: Lucky and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Transparent.

Color Mists

Hi there!

Today's card features something I'm kinda obsessed with right know, color mists. But not the ones you buy, the DIY kind. For this one I also made the stencil. I used the "Wild Card" Cricut Cartridge to cut it on heavy cardstock. Talk about saving money on craft supplies! ;) I made the color mists using acrylic paint and water. La tarjeta de hoy tiene una técnica con la cual estoy algo obsesionada ultimamente, los sprays de colores. Pero no son los que venden comercialmente, si no los hechos por uno mismo. Para esta tarjeta también hice mi propia plantilla. Usé el cartucho de Cricut "Wild Card" para cortar el mio en cartulina gruesa. ¡Así ahorro dinero! Hice los sprays de color con pintura acrílica y agua. El sello es de Lawn Fawn. Inspired Series/ Inspirada

Hello Everyone!

This year I'm adding new "sections" to my blog. One of them is "Inspired". I'll take anything (a picture, a song, a pin, a movie) and create something inspired by that. It could be a card, a layout or any other project. I'll start doing this section every other month until I catch up and organize myself. My plan is to post monthly, the second Wednesday of the month. 

Well, today's project is inspired by the pin you see below. I made this as a gift for my sister-in-law. Her favorite color is pink so I tried to incorporate that. Some of the flowers and the letters were die cut (Cricut). The others I made them with a scallop punch. I added glitters to the border of the flowers. I bought the board marker and attached it with some Velcro. I love this! Not that post its aren't cute, but this is cuter. I hope you get inspired by this too.

¡Hola a todos!

Este año añadiré nuevas secciones a mi blog. Una de ellas es "Inspirada". Escogeré cualquier cosa (una foto, canción, pin, película) y crearé algo inspirada en eso. Podría ser una tarjeta, un "layout" o cualquier otro proyecto. Empezaré esta sección cada dos meses hasta que me ponga al día con mi agenda pues la meta es hacer una entrada mensual, el segundo miércoles del mes.

Bueno, el proyecto de hoy fue inspirado en el "pin" que ven arriba. Hice esto para regular a mi cuñada. Su color favorite es rosa así que lo incorporé en el proyecto. Algunas de las flores y las letras fueron cortadas con la Cricut. Otras flores las hice con ponchador de "scallop". Añadí brillo a los bordes de las flores. Compré un marcador de pizarra y lo pegué al marco utilizando Velcro. Es una forma original para recorder las cosas y sin desperdicios de papelitos. Espero que los haya inspirado.

Hello again!

Today's post is a card for Lawnscaping Challenge #60: Dimension. There's so many ways to give dimension to your cards! I used some of the new dies from Lawn Fawn: Puffy Star Stackables and Say Cheese Lawn Cuts. The yellow glittered cardstock and the different sizes of stars give a kind of 3D feeling to the card. I also used some 3D dots to give more dimension. The graduate is die cut using a Cricut machine. The sentiment stamps are also from Lawn Fawn. The cloud design paper is from Bella Blvd. Sequins complete the celebration. Happy Graduation to all the graduates this year!

En la entrada de hoy les traigo una tarjeta para Lawnscaping Challenge #60: Dimension. Hay tantas maneras que podriamos dar dimensión en una tarjeta. Utilizé algunos de los nuevos troqueles de Lawn Fawn: Puffy Star Stackables y Say Cheese Lawn Cuts. La cartulina escarchada amarilla y los diferentes tamaños de estrellas ayudan a dar dimensión a la tarjeta. También utilize "3D dots" para dar más dimensión. La graduanda fue cortada utilizando la maquina Cricut. Los sellos también son de Lawn Fawn. El papel de diseño de nubes es de Bella Blvd. Algunas lentejuelas completan la celebración. ¡Muchas felicidades a todos los que se graduaron en este año!

Graduaciones/Graduations

Almost everybody knows somebody that's graduating school (elementary, high, or college). I remember my graduations. The ceremonies were well... kind of boring. But the feeling of happiness and feeling proud of what I had accomplished is unforgettable. This year my stepson Jean graduated from 8th grade. I made this card for him. I used my Cricut with the Wild Card Cartridge and some Lawn Fawn stamps. We are very proud of him!

Casi todo el mundo conoce a alguien que se gradúa ya sea de escuela elementar, superior o Universidad. Yo recuerdo mis graduaciones. Las ceremonias fueron...aburridas. ¡Hay que decirlo! Pero el sentimiento de orgullo y felicidad al haber logrado algo por lo que se trabajo mucho es inolvidable. Este año, mi hijastro Jean se graduó de 8vo grado. Hice esta tarjeta para él. Utilizé la Cricut y el cartridge Wild Card y algunos sellos de Lawn Fawn. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de él!

Making-Of Gender Reveal BBQ Party :)

Y continuamos hablando sobre mi "Gender Reveal BBQ Party". Les voy a presentar fotos del "making-of" para la actividad. Aproveché para sacudirle el polvo a la Provocraft Cricut Expression. Mantuve el esquema de colores azul cielo y rosado. Utilizando el "cartridge" de Plantin School Book corté todas las letras, tanto para la caja que revelará el sexo como para los banderines y la cartulina para votación. Para los banderines, hice un modelo de triángulos en papel de computadora que utilizé luego para recortar en las cartulinas de colores. Básicamente dividí un papel 8 1/2 x 11 en tres triángulos iguales. Tanto a las letras como a los banderines, les di más color con "distress inks". Utilizé hilo de lana en azul y rosado para unir los banderines. Coloqué letras en ambos lados para que fuera legible de cualquier ángulo. ¡Me encantó como quedaron! Para la cartulina de votación, a parte de las letras, utilizé el "cartridge" Everyday Paper Dolls para cortar bebes en 3 1/4 pulgadas donde los invitados escribirían su nombre para luego pegarlos en la cartulina en el lado de su equipo. Encontré una pequeña caja (sobras de las pasadas navidades) que cubrí con papel de diseño de Bella Blvd de la colección "We're expecting" y le hize una apertura en la tapa. En esta cajita los invitados depositarán pequeños papeles con sugerencias de nombre para el bebé. Además de la decoración hecha por mi, colocaré globos azules y rosas, cintas y más. Luego podrán ver todo en el próximo "post" sobre la actividad. A continuación las fotos. :)

Lets keep talking about my "Gender Reveal BBQ Party". In this posts I'll be presenting pics of the making-of of the party. This party was the perfect excuse to give some loving to my Cricut Expression. I used a light blue and pink color scheme for all the decorations and some snacks. I used Plantin School Book cartridge to cut all the letters I used for the big box used in the final reveal, for banners and the "choose you team" poster. For the banners, I first made models using regular paper and then made the cuts on cardstock. I basically divided in three same sized triangles a 8 1/2 x 11 paper. To give more color to all the letters I cut, I used distress inks. I used pink and blue yarn to put together the banner. I glued letters on both sides of the banner so everybody could read it from every angle. I loved how it turned out! For the "choose your team" poster, in addition to the letters, I cut babies in 3 1/4 inch using the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. Everyone would write their names on the babies and then paste them in the poster in their team's side. I found in my stock (leftovers from last Christmas) a small box that I covered using patterned paper from Bella Blvd's collection "We're expecting" and then made a small opening on the top. In this small box people would deposit small pieces of paper with name suggestions. In addition to the decorations made by me, I used pink and light blue balloons, streamers and more. You'll see all of these in the next post about the party. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. :)

It's the last day of 2011 and my last post for this year. It has been less than a month that I started this blog and I'm very happy with the feedback I have received. So, THANK YOU. As I already said, THIS is only the beginning! Today I'm presenting a beautiful wedding card I made using my Cricut Expresion.

I first stamped the background stamp (Hero Art's "Happy Definition") using gray ink in "Very Vanilla" Stampin Up cardstock. I then used Distress Ink - Vintage Photo, which I got at ScrapbookPal.com (They have great prices, super fast and cheap shipping and awesome customer service!), to distress the background. I then turned to the bug. LOL I used my Cricut Expression with the "Sweethearts" Cartridge (also can be found at ScrapbookPal.com) and cut the bride at 3 3/4" using again the "Very Vanilla" cardstock for the first cut. I cut the hair using "Early Expresso" from Stampin Up and the dress using shimmering white cardstock from my stash. I cut the "I Do" using shimmering silver cardstock at 1". After I glued the bride together, I wanted highlight the bouquet. For that, I first inked that part with "Barn Door" Distress ink. After it dried, I stamped it with Versamark watermark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored the ribbon of the bouquet using Copics C3 and C5. I used Stampin Up "Dimensionals" to add dimension to the bride in the card and glued the "I Do". To finish it up, I added some pearls. The final result was elegant yet simple. Here's a closeup where you can appreciate more the dimension.

Es el último día del 2011 y la última entrada a el blog en este año. Ha pasado menos de un mes desde que comencé con el blog y estoy muy contenta con la respuesta recibida por todos. Asi que GRACIAS. Como ya dije, ¡ESTO es solo el comienzo! Hoy les presento una tarjeta para boda que hice utilizando mi Cricut Expression.
Primero estampé el fondo con el sello de fondo (Hero Art's "Happy Definition") utilizando tinta gris en cartulina "Very Vanilla" de Stampin Up. Luego utilizé Distress Ink - Vintage Photo, el cual compré en la página ScrapbookPal.com (¡Tienen muy buenos precios, envío rápido y económico, y excelente servicio al cliente!), para dar un toque antiguo al fondo. Utilizando la Cricut Expression con el cartucho "Sweethearts" Cartridge (que también puedes conseguir en ScrapbookPal.com) corté a la novia a 3 3/4" utilizando nuevamente la cartulina "Very Vanilla" para el primer corte. Corté el cabello utilizando "Early Expresso" de Stampin Up y el traje con cartulina brillosa blanca. Corté el "I Do" utilizando cartulina brillosa en color plata a 1". Después de pegar las piezas de novia, quería resaltar el ramo de la novia. Para esto, primero estampé directo a la almohadilla de la tinta roja "Barn Door" Distress ink. Al secarse, froté el ramo en la almohadilla de "Versamark watermark ink" y utilizando la técnica de "heat embossed" con polvo transparente, resalté el ramo. Coloree la cinta del ramo utilizando Copics C3 y C5. Utilizé muchos "Dimensionals de Stampin Up " para darle dimensión a la novia al pegarla a la tarjeta. Luego pegué el "I Do". Para terminar la tarjeta añadiendo los toques, le añadí perlas finish it up, I added some pearls. The final result was elegant yet simple. Here's a closeup where you can appreciate more the dimension. El resultado final es elegante y sencill. La próxima foto que ven es un acercamiento para que puedan apreciar mejor los detalles.
