Dulce Navidad/Sweet Christmas

¡Hola!

Nuevamente regreso luego de un tiempo sin escribirles. Espero poder ponerme al día y escribir más frecuente. Hoy les traigo una tarjeta navideña muy dulce. El pingüino fue cortado con mi nueva Cricut Explore Air, la cual me tiene encantada. La imagen la tomé de la librería de imágenes disponibles en la subscripción mensual. Corté a parte el bastón de menta para que el pingüino lo sujetara. El mensaje y los copos de nieve de fondo son sellos de de Lawn Fawn. Le añadí detalles con pega de brillo y "Glossy accents" para darle un toque especial. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta en las competencias de: Simon Says: Thinking of you y Lawnscaping Challenges: thinking of you.

I'm back after a while of not posting. I hope I can post more frequently since I'm up to date in other stuff! Today's card is a sweet Christmas card. The penguin was cut using my new Cricut Explore Air, which I LOVE. The image was available from the monthly subscription and the candy cane too. The sentiment and snowflakes are Lawn Fawn stamps. I added some Glossy Accents and glitter glue to add that special touch. I'll enter the card to the following Challenges: Simon Says: Thinking of you and Lawnscaping Challenges: thinking of you.

Hello Everyone!

Today's card is my second entry for the current Unity -Be Inspired- Challenge. This time I made a CAS design following the colors of the inspiration color photo.31. I got this cute stamp set on one of their amazing sales (they have one right know that is almost imposible to resist!). I just love it. It actually made me think of my best friend. The background was actually a scrap paper I used to clean the brayer I used to paint with acrylic paint when I made this canvas. I loved how it looked so I saved it for a card later. La tarjeta de hoy es mi segunda entrada para el reto actual de Unity -Be Inspired- Challenge. Esta vez hice un diseño CAS siguiendo los colores de la foto de inspiración .31. Compré este lindo set de sellos en una de sus fabulosas ventas (en estos momentos tienen una que está casi imposible de resistir). Me encanta el set. Me hizo pensar en mi mejor amiga. El fondo fue realmente un pedazo de papel en el cual limpié la pintura del rolo que use mientras creaba este canvas. Me gustó como se veía así que lo guardé para un proyecto futuro y aquí está. El zorro lo coloreé con Copics. I've been practicing the inlay technique with die cuts. This one took me a long time to finish because of the glittered cardstock was kinda thick for the die but I just wanted to use it, period. I love simple designs and circles are simple. I used circle dies from Spellbinders and the sentiment die is from Latina Crafter. I followed the twist in their current challenge Sketch #50 and twist Náutica using nautical colors and I also did my interpretation of the sketch #50. This card is for my brother-in-law who was recently inducted to the Las Vegas Boxing Hall of Fame. We are all very proud of him.

He estado practicando la técnica de "inlay" con troqueles. Esta tarjeta me tomó mucho tiempo terminarla ya que la cartulina escarchada dorada es bastante gruesa pero yo quería usar ese y punto. Me encantan los diseños sencillos y para mi, los círculos son sencillos y a su vez elegantes. Los troqueles de círculos son de "Spellbinders" y el de "Felicidades" es de Latina Crafter. Seguí el twist del reto Sketch #50 and twist Náutica utilizando los colores náuticos y también hice mi interpretación del sketch. Esta tarjeta será para mi cuñado que recientemente fue exaltado al Salón de la Fama de Boxeo en Las Vegas. Estamos muy orgullosos de él.

Espero que estén disfrutando de su fin de semana al igual que yo. Hoy les traigo una tarjeta de cumpleaños con sellos y troqueles de Lawn Fawn. Una de mis técnicas favoritas es el "emboss-resist" con "heat embossing" y que mejor que usar "Distress Inks" para esto. Las estrellas, la luna y la luz del faro están todos realizados con esta técnica. Esta tarjeta la hice para el cumpleaños de mi padrino. A él y su familia, al igual que a la mía, les encanta acampar. Este set de sellos era el perfecto para la tarjeta. El faro lo coloqué en alusión al nombre de el lugar donde ellos tienen su tráiler, Faro del Mar, y la imagen del tráiler tiene las iniciales "VT" en referencia al nombre del suyo, Villa Terapia.  Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a los siguientes retos: Lawnscaping Challenges: Embossing y Cut it up Challenge: Old School.

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Today's card is a birthday card with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. One of my favorite techniques to do is emboss-resist with heat embossing and the best way for me to do it is with Distress Inks. The moon, stars and the light of the lighthouse are all heat embossed.  I did this card for my Godfather's birthday. He and his family, like mine, love to camp. This stamp sets were perfect for the theme. The lighthouse is in reference to the name of the place they have their camping trailer and the camping trailer itself has the initials "VT" in reference to its name, Villa Terapia. I'll enter this card to the following challenges: Lawnscaping Challenges: Embossing & Cut it up Challenge: Old School.
