It's Friday and with it, a layout! You guys know by now that although I love doing scrapbook layouts, it's not what I usually do. I do have a lot of stuff for it, but not enough time! Here's a Christmas layout I made. This one will definitively go in my wall. The picture is the first official one we do with Santa Claus and by official I mean that I paid for it. We had to wait in line for a few hours... so I HAD to make a layout, period. I used Latina Crafter stamps and Lawn Fawn (the paper pieced tree). The paper collection is Sugarplums from Doodlebug Design Inc. I'll include this layout in the current Lawnscaping Challenge: Tag It.

¡Es viernes y con él llega un "layout"! Ustedes ya saben que aunque me gusta mucho hacer "layouts", no es lo que usualmente hago. Tengo muchos materiales para ellos, pero no tiempo suficiente. Les presente este con tema Navideño. Este definitivo estará colgado en la pared de mi cuarto. Es la primera foto official que nos tomamos con Santa, y por oficial me refiero a que pagué por la foto. Tuvimos que esperar varias horas.... asi que TENIA que hacer este "layout" y punto. Usé sellos de Latina Crafter y de Lawn Fawn. La colección de papeles es Sugarplums de Doodlebug Design Inc. Incluiré este "layout" en el reto actual de Lawnscaping Challenge: Tag It..

Reyes Magos/Wise men

¡Hola!

Nuestra tradición latina en la Navidad es principalmente el Día de los 3 Reyes Magos que se celebra el 6 de enero. Aunque también celebramos la llegada de Santa Claus, mis favoritos son los Reyes. Esta tarjeta que hice es en honor a ellos. Corté la forma de los Reyes, la estrella y del adorno del árbol con la Cricut Explore Air. El sello es de Latina Crafter. Estaré añadiendo esta tarjeta al reto de CASology: Week 173: Tree.

Hey!

Our true Christmas Latin tradition is to celebrate the day of the 3 Wise Men which is celebrated on the 6th of January.  Although we also celebrate Mr. Santa Claus' visit, my favorite are the Wise Men. This card is in honor of that beautiful tradition. I die cut the tree ornament, the star and the silhouette of the Wise Men with the Cricut Explore Air. Sentiment stamp is from Latina Crafter. I'll be adding this one to CASology: Week 173: Tree.

¡Buenos Días!

Aunque aca en Puerto Rico, nuestras Navidades son bajo temperaturas tropicales, no deja de ser hermoso las estampas Navideñas con nieve. Esta tarjeta que les presento hoy es una "shaker" card con sellos de Unity Stamp Co como protagonistas. Hice una mezcla de la técnica de "paper piecing" y colorear con Copics para el venado. Resalté sus patas con "glossy accents" y sus cuernos con pega de brillo. Estampé el mensaje en acetato pues no quería restarle atención ni al venado ni al fondo de la tarjeta. Utilizé lentejuelas en forma de copos de nieve y pequeñas estrellas para el interior de la tarjeta. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a los siguientes retos: Sparkle and Shine nineteen, Simon Says: Let it snow y por ultimo pero no menos importante Unity "Be Inspired" Challenge.

 

 

Good Morning!

Although here in Puerto Rico, Christmas season is enjoyed in tropical temperatures, I still enjoy a good "White Christmas" scene. Today's card is also a shaker card with Unity Stamp Co stamps. I paper pieced and Copic colored the cute reindeer and added glossy accents to his paws and glittered glue to his antlers. I used snowflake shaped and little star sequins for the shaker. I stamped the sentiment on acetate because I just didn't want to take away the focus from the snowflake sequins and the reindeer. I'll enter this card to the following challenges:  Sparkle and Shine nineteen, Simon Says: Let it snow and last but not least Unity "Be Inspired" Challenge.

Shaker Christmas

Hi!

Today's card is a fun yet simple shaker card I made using my new Cricut Explore Air. I just LOVE how easy it is to use. This one was quite easy to create using basic shapes and images I already had. I wanted to keep it CAS because I wanted the Nativity image to be the focal point. I heat embossed the sentiment which is an old stamp from Stampin' Up. I will add this card to the current Cut It Up #85: Make it sparkle with sequins challenge.

La tarjeta de hoy es una divertida pero sencilla tarjeta "shaker" que hice utilizando mi nueva Cricut Explore Air. Me encanta lo sencillo que es crear proyectos como este con su programa. Esta fue bastante fácil de crear con formas básicas e imágenes que ya tenía. Dejé el diseño de esta tarjeta sencillo pues quería que la escena de nacimiento fuera el punto focal. El mensaje es un sello viejito de Stampin' up con la técnica de "heat embossing". Entraré esta tarjeta al reto de Cut It Up #85: Make it sparkle with sequins .

Owl/búho

Hope everyone got a great weekend! Today's card features a cute critter I have used many times. It's a stamp from Lawn Fawn. I think one of the firsts releases... I just love that little owl. This time, Mr Owl is feeling the Christmas spirit in this CAS card. I'll enter it to the following challenges: CASology: Week 174: Owl and Simon Says: Anything goes.

Espero que hayan tenido un gran fin de semana. La tarjeta de hoy tiene como protagonista a un pequeño que he utilizado varias veces. Es un sello de "Lawn Fawn". Creo que de los primeros que sacaron. Es que simplemente me encanta este pequeño búho. Esta vez, el Sr. Búho está sintiendo el espíritu Navideño en esta tarjeta CAS. La tarjeta de hoy la hice para el reto de Latina Crafter Sketch #53 + Twist noviembre. El twist de este mes es Navidad. Me mantuve bastante fiel al sketch del reto. Para darle el toque navideño use papeles de diseño de temporada y una Pascua que hice con un ponchador. A esta la decoré con Distress Ink, Glossy Accent y rhinestones que pinté amarrillo con Copics.

Today's card is for Latina Crafter Sketch #53 + Twist noviembre challenge. The twist this month is Christmas. I followed the sketch and the twist. I used Christmas Patterned paper and did a poinsettia with a paper punch. I decorated the flower with Distress Inks, Glossy Accents and rhinestones which I colored yellow with Copics.

I'll also share it with the Unity Stamp Co's Brown Thursday Blog Hop . I kept this one VERY simple. I heat embossed the sentiment (Unity Stamp Co) with gold embossing powder and added gold thread. También estaré compartiendo la tarjeta con Unity Stamp Co's Brown Thursday Blog Hop  Quise mantener el diseño de esta tarjeta muy simple. Con la técnica de "Heat Embossing" con polvo dorado, estampé el mensaje (Unity Stamp Co) y añadí hilo dorado. Espero que les guste y que tengan un super fin de semana.

El niñito Jesús y la estrella las corté con mi Cricut Explore Air que compré hace poquito en Blitsy en una super oferta. El rectángulo de cartulina blanca la corté con un troquel de Lawn Fawn. Le di color para recrear el cielo de la noche con Distress Inks y un bolígrafo de tinta dorada. El mensaje es un sello de Latina Crafter. Today's card is the first of two cards I'll enter in CAS-ual Fridays CFC:145: Precious Metals. The baby Jesus and the Star were cut using my new Cricut Explore Air which I got for a great deal a few weeks ago on Blitsy. The rectangle is a die from Lawn Fawn. I colored using Distress Inks and a gold gel marker to recreate a night scene. The sentiment is a stamp from Latina Crafter. I'll also enter this card to Latina Crafter #LCSC53. challenge and CASology: Week 173: Pretty.

Unity's Be Inspired

Today's card is for the current Unity Be Inspired Challenge. I followed the sketch for the challenge. First, I heat embossed with a Unity background stamp, masking the sides. Then I applied Distress Inks in green and red. I paper pieced the Christmas tree which is from and Unity/Bella Blvd set. I used twine and star shaped sequins to complete the sketch. I'll also enter it to the Simon Says: Thinking of You  challenge.

La tarjeta de hoy es para el reto corriente de Unity Be Inspired Challenge. Seguí el "sketch" de este reto. Primero, hice la técnica de "heat embossing" con un sello de fondo de Unity Stamp Co. Luego apliqué "Distress Inks" en rojo y verde. El árbol lo estampé y luego decoré con papel de diseño con la técnica de "paper piecing". El sello es de Unity/Bella Blvd. Usé hilo y lentejuelas en forma de estrella para completar la tarjeta. También entraré la tarjeta al reto de Simon Says: Thinking of You .

Dulce Navidad/Sweet Christmas

¡Hola!

Nuevamente regreso luego de un tiempo sin escribirles. Espero poder ponerme al día y escribir más frecuente. Hoy les traigo una tarjeta navideña muy dulce. El pingüino fue cortado con mi nueva Cricut Explore Air, la cual me tiene encantada. La imagen la tomé de la librería de imágenes disponibles en la subscripción mensual. Corté a parte el bastón de menta para que el pingüino lo sujetara. El mensaje y los copos de nieve de fondo son sellos de de Lawn Fawn. Le añadí detalles con pega de brillo y "Glossy accents" para darle un toque especial. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta en las competencias de: Simon Says: Thinking of you y Lawnscaping Challenges: thinking of you.

I'm back after a while of not posting. I hope I can post more frequently since I'm up to date in other stuff! Today's card is a sweet Christmas card. The penguin was cut using my new Cricut Explore Air, which I LOVE. The image was available from the monthly subscription and the candy cane too. The sentiment and snowflakes are Lawn Fawn stamps. I added some Glossy Accents and glitter glue to add that special touch. I'll enter the card to the following Challenges: Simon Says: Thinking of you and Lawnscaping Challenges: thinking of you.

Hello, Hello!

Here in Puerto Rico we don't get to see snow. I know a lot of people that live in places it snows, before December ends are already tired of it. For us, it is a novelty to travel and to play with it! Snow looks beautiful until you have to shovel your driveway LOL Today's card features a cute little reindeer from this cute set from Unity Stamp Co that I colored with Copics. I paired it with a bit of gold tread and a wood veneer in the shape of a snowflake. I heat embossed the sentiment from a Christmas set from Latina Crafter. I'll enter this one to CASology Challenge: week 126: Snow.

Aquí en PR no vemos nieve. Se que la mayoría de los que si la ven, antes que acabe diciembre, ya no quieren más. Para nosotros es una novedad jugar con ella. La nieve se ve Hermosa, hasta que tienes que palear la entrada de la casa. jajaja Bueno, la tarjeta de hoy les presente a este lindo venadito de este lindo set de Unity Stamp Co el cual coloree con Copics. Le puse un copo de nieve en madera y un poco de hilo dorado. El mensaje fue "heat embossed" en dorado. Este es de Latina Crafter. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a la competencia de CASology Challenge: week 126: Snow.

Este mes de diciembre se ha ido volando. Ya casi, casi es Navidad. Hoy les presento una tarjeta con colores no tan tradicionales para la época. I used Unity Stamp Co stamps so I'll be entering this one for the Friends with Flair Challenge. I'll also enter it on this month's Unity Stamp Co Be inspired challenge. I can't stop making Christmas cards. Honestly, I LOVE it! I wish I had more time!!!! Today's card is a shaker card. I used: Lawn Fawn stamps and die, Latina Crafter stamps, and the snow globe die is from Memory Box. Shaker cards are time consuming to make but the results are worth every second. I completed the card with twine and a red button. I'll enter this one to Cut It Up Challenge #60: Button Christmas. This time I made sure to post on time!!! LOL

No puedo parar de hacer tarjetas de Navidad. En serio, me ENCANTA. Ojalá tuviera más tiempo para hacerlo. La tarjeta de hoy es un "shaker card". Entre los materiales estan: sellos y troquel de Lawn Fawn, sellos de Latina Crafter, y el troquel de globo de nieve es de Memory Box. Este tipo de tarjeta toma mucho tiempo crearlas pero el resultado final hace que valga la pena. Completé la tarjeta con hilo y un botón rojo. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a la competencia de Cut It Up Challenge #60: Button Christmas. ¡Esta vez me aseguré de escribir la entrada a tiempo! jijiji

¡HOLA!

Ya se acerca más y más el día de Navidad. ¿Ya terminaron sus compras? ¡Yo NO! Ir de compras con un pequeño en sus "terribles dos" no es tan divertido. ;) Les preparé una tarjeta para el reto de Lawnscaping Challenges: White on White. Me gusta mucho lo delicado y fino que se ve. Entre los materiales que usé están: sellos de Lawn Fawn "Snow Day", "embossing powder" dorado, hilo dorado, "embossing folder" de puntos, tinta dorada, papel escarchado dorado y "tissue paper" blanco (reciclado).

It's almost Christmas day. Are you done with your shopping? I'm NOT! Shopping with a toddler is not that much fun ;) Anyway, I made this card for the challenge on Lawnscaping Challenges: White on White. I really love how delicate this looks. Among the materials I used are: Lawn Fawn stamps "Snow Day", gold embossing powder, gold twine, polka dot embossing folder, gold ink, gold glitter cardstock and some upcycled white tissue paper.

¡Llegóóó!

Ya llegó la Navidad. Se siente ya los aires de fiesta en todos lados. Me encanta la Navidad y más aun me gusta hacer tarjetas para este tiempo. Hoy les traigo Una tarjeta de Navidad con mucho brillo. Usé el esquema de colores de la competencia de Unity Stamp Co Challenges para realizarla. El brillo del fondo fue creado con un "duck tape" que encontré en Walmart así con brillo. Simplemente no pude resistir comprarlo. Los sellos obviamente son de Unity Stamp Co.

Finally, Christmas season is here. There's parties everywhere. I love Christmas but I love even more making Christmas Cards. Today's card is full of sparkle. I used the color scheme from the inspiration color photo from Unity Stamp Co Challenge. The glitter on the background is actually glitter duck tape I found in Walmart and simply couldn't resist buying it! The stamp is obviously from Unity Stamp Co.

Hello everyone!

I'm catching with participating on challenges. I love them I must admit. Today's card is for Lawnscaping Challenges 94: Count me in. We had to use numbers on our projects. I made this CAS card using Lawn Fawn dies and stamps, sequins, twine and Martha Stewart paper punch. This one is my favorite so far. I just loooove that glitter paper I used for the numbers. I would use it in every single card but I don't want to use it all. I know, I have issues! LOL The dilemmas of a paper crafter!

Estoy poco a poco poniéndome al día con mi participación en competencias. Tengo que admitir que me gusta mucho. La tarjeta de hoy la hice para la competencia de Lawnscaping Challenges 94: Count me in. El reto es utilizar numerous en el proyecto. Hice esta sencilla tarjeta con troqueles y sellos de Lawn Fawn, lentejuelas, hilo y ponchador de Martha Stewart. Es mi tarjeta favorita, hasta ahora. Me fascina ese papel de brillo que usé para los numerous. Lo usaría en todas mis tarjetas pero no quiero agotarlo. Lo sé, tengo problemas. jajaja ¡Los dilemas de un artesano de papel!

LAWNSCAPING WINTER BLOG HOP

I'm so excited to be part of Lawnscaping Winter Blog Hop. This is my first time participating in a blog hop so I was actually counting the days!!! If you are following the order of the hop, you should have come from Valerie's blog, Val by design. Well, now to the project. I made not one, not two, but four cards! Since I couldn't decide which one to post, I decided to call it a set! LOL I stamped the same background for the four of them using "Critters in the Snow" and "Making Frosty Friends" stamp sets. I used Distress Inks for the snowy sky. I must say that my favorite is the one with the gingerbread house! I heat embossed the sentiments to make them pop up. Some of the images are colored with Copics, others were paper pieced. Other supplies I used are: twine, ribbon, Enamel Accents, glitter glue, and Sprinkles. Other Lawn Fawn sets I used are: "Sweet Christmas", "Critters in
the Forest" and "Hats off to you". I also used Lawn Cuts for the "Making Frosty Friends" and "Critters in the Forest" sets and "Puffy Star Stackables".

Estoy super emocionada de ser parte de Lawnscaping Winter Blog Hop. ¡Esta es la primera que participo en un "blog hop" asi que, iba tachando los días en el calendario! Si estas siguiendo el orden del "hop" vienes de Valerie's blog, Val by design. Es esta ocasión no hice una, ni dos, sino cuatro tarjetas. No sabía cual elegir, así que llamaremos esto un set. ;) Estampé el fondo de las cuatro tarjetas con los sets de  "Critters in the Snow" y "Making Frosty Friends". Utilicé "Distress Inks" para recrear un cielo nevando dentro del círculo. Debo confesar que mi favorite de las cuatro es la de la casa de muñecos de jenjibre. Para realzar el mensaje de las tarjetas utilicé la técnica de "heat-embossed".Algunas de las imagines fueron coloreadas con Copics otras fueron estampadas y cortadas en papeles de colores. Otros materiales que utilicé fueron: hilo, cinta, "enamel accents", pega escarchada, y Sprinkles. Otros sellos de Lawn Fawn que utilicé fueron: "Sweet Christmas", "Critters in the Forest" y "Hats off to you". También use los "Lawn Cuts" de "Making Frosty Friends" y "Critters in the Forest"  y "Puffy Star Stackables".

Dulce Navidad/Sweet Xmas

¡Buenos Días!

Hoy tempranito les traigo una dulce tarjeta, bueno realmente son dos. Este set de Lawn Fawn lo había comprado hace algún tiempo y no lo había usado... y que dulce sensación es usar ese set que tanto te gusta por primera vez. ¡¡¡Hay que amar las manualidades para entender el gozo!!! :) El set se llama Sweet Christmas. Hice una niña y un niño de jengibre para esta dulce navidad. ¡Espero les guste! Estaré entrando esta tarjeta en la siguiente competencia: Pinspired Challenge #23. Muy triste que en este diciembre tendrán su última competencia. Pueden ver abajo el "pin" de inspiración.

Up and early to bring you a sweet card, well actually two. I bought this Lawn Fawn set a while ago and hadn't had chance to ink it up...and what a sweet feeling you get when inking up a set for the first time. Gotta love stamping to get it!!! :) The set is Sweet Christmas. I did a gingerbread boy and a girl. I hope you like it! I'll be entering this one to  Pinspired Challenge #23. So sad to see them go this December...

Hoy les presento un diseño CAS para la competencia de "CAS-ual Fridays CFC 122: Out on a limb". El diseño debe incluir un árbol o árboles. Perfecto para la Navidad. Hice este árbol con botones que tenía guardados. El sello es de Latina Crafter. Completé el "look" con hilo. Sencillo y elegante: ME ENCANTA ;) Hasta prontito...

Today's card is a CAS card for "CAS-ual Fridays CFC 122: Out on a limb". The project must feature a tree or trees. Perfect theme for Christmas season. I did a Christmas Tree with buttons I had in my stash. The stamp is from Latina Crafter. I complete the look with Baker's Twine. Simple and Elegant: I LOVE IT ;)
