Smallest things... GIU second day

Hello everyone!

Second day of my Growing in Unity week. Today, I bring you another baby card. When I saw this set, I had to have it, period. I love pandas. This image is too cute to pass. For this card, I used 3 different sets: sentiments is from Room In My Heart, image from Heartfelt Cuddles and the background was created using the leaf image from You Are This. I used Distress Inks for the background and the Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink Cube for the image and sentiment. The pandas were colored with water color pencils. I added a few drops of Glossy Accents to the background. I chose this color combo because the card is for a baby girl.

Welcome to parenthood

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the first post for my week in Growing in Unity from Unity Stamp Co. Today I present you a card I made for a friend and his wife who recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl. For this card, I used the set A Mother's Arms. I colored the image with regular colored pencils. I stamped the image on regular white cardstock, colored and then fussy cut one side. I decorated with glitter glue, sequins and wood veneer heart.

Hello!!!

I've been quiet this week since I've been super busy preparing for my class this Sunday on the 2nd Scrapbook Convention in Puerto Rico. For details about that, go HERE. I'm excited and nervous! Well, today's card is quite special. A new bundle of joy is on the way. Not me, btw... The family is very excited! I'm entering this card the Lawnscaping Challenges #76: Dust 'em off since I used a stamp set I haven't used in months, Lawn Fawn's "Plus one" and those Bella Blvd papers have been on my stash for quite a while too. Well, until next week!

He estado calladita esta semana pues he estado muy ocupada con los preparativos de mi clase en la 2da Convención de Scrapbook de Puerto Rico. Para detalles sobre eso, ve AQUI. ¡Estoy emocionada y a la vez nerviosa! Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a  Lawnscaping Challenges #76: Dust 'em off pues este set de sellos hace meses que no lo utilize, "Plus One" de Lawn Fawn y esos papeles de diseño de Bella Blvd llevan algún tiempo en mi almacen. Hello!

I have been soooo busy making all the goodies for my baby's first birthday party that I haven't had time to blog. :/ But I took a break from it to make this card for Lawnscaping's Challege #66: Monochromatic. I chose blue as my color since I will be sending this card to one of my BFFs who's having a boy in November. I'll also enter Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything goes. Hope you like it!

He estado taaaan ocupada preparando las cositas para el primer cumpleaños de mi bebé que no he tenido oportunidad de escribirles. :/ Pero hoy me tome un corto descanso y prepare una tarjeta para la competencia de  Lawnscaping's Challege #66: Monochromatic. Escogí el color azul pues estaré enviando esta tarjeta a una de mis mejores amigas que tundra un varoncito en noviembre.  También estaré entrando en la competencia Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything goes. ¡Espero que les guste!

Para ti bebé/For you my baby

Hola a tod@s:

Ya mi pequeño hijo cumplió sus dos meses de vida. Ha sido dos meses llenos de alegría, lecciones y mucho amor. Poco a poco voy acostumbrándome a mi nuevo ritmo de vida y a las pocas horas de sueño. Así que poco a poco comenzaré al fin a crear nuevamente y a escribir en el blog. Hoy les quiero presentar un álbum que hice una semanas antes de dar a luz para mi pequeño hijo. La intención era que cada persona que lo visitara en sus primeras semanas de vida le escribiera un breve mensaje para cuando sea "grande" enseñarle cuán querido es. Además dejé algunos espacios en blanco para colocar sus primeras fotografías. :) Utilizé los siguientes materiales: Papeles de diseño,"stickers" y "chipboard stickers" de Bella Blvd de la línea "We're expecting", tintas,perlas, ponchadores, cartulinas y "rhinestones" de Stampin' Up, botones, papeles de diseño de Office Max, Cartulina de Colorbok (Walmart), botones, hilo, sellos de Lawn Fawn y Unity Stamp Co y el álbum de "chipboard" de los "dollar bins" de las tiendas Michaels. Espero les guste.

Hi everyone:

My baby boy is already two months old. These past two months have been filled with joy, lessons and tons of love. I'm getting use to my new mommy life (lack of sleep included lol). I'm starting to get organized to finally start creating for you guys and to write in my blog. Today, I'm presenting a chipboard album I made a few weeks before my baby was born. I wanted everyone who came and visit him his firsts weeks of life to write him a short message so when he grows up, I'll show it to him. I also left a few spaces blank for his firsts pictures. :) I used the following supplies: Patterned paper, stickers, chipboard stickers from Bella Blvd "We're expecting", inks, pearls, punches and rhinestones from Stampin Up, buttons, patterned paper from Office Max, Cardstock from Colorbok (Walmart), twine, stamps from Lawn Fawn and Unity Stamp Co and the chipboard album is from those fabulous dollar bins from Michaels. Hope you all like it!

¡Hola!

Estoy aprovechando el tiempo que me queda para crear unas cuantas postales. Ya tengo 35 semanas de embarazo así que prontito tendré a mi bebé conmigo. Recientemente, mi familia me celebró mi "baby shower". Estuvo todo muy bonito. Al bebé, gracias a Dios, no le hace falta nada. Va a estar tan rodeado de amor...

Su abuelito Félix y su "tití" Nelly le hicieron unos regalitos muy especiales por lo tanto les hice esta tarjeta de agradecimiento.

Esta tarjeta estará participando en las siguientes competencias: Lawnscaping challenges Sketch, CAS-ual Fridays CFC69 Embossing y en Simon Says Stamps Challenges Put a Stamp on IT.

    

 

Utilizé los siguientes materiales: "cardstock", "Crystal Effecs" y "dimensionals" (Stampin Up), Spellbinders y carpetas de repujado (Cuttlebug), ponchador de borde y redondeador de esquina(Martha Stewart), hilo blanco y marrón, botones, sellos (Lawn Fawn y Pink by Design) & papel de diseño (Bella Blvd).

I'm using the time left before giving birth to my baby boy to create a few cards. I'm 35 weeks so very soon I'll have my baby with me. Recently my family celebrated my Baby Shower. Everything came out perfectly. We had a great time. The baby has everything he needs. He'll be surrounded with tons of love! He's granddaddy Félix and "aunty" Nelly gave him some special gifts so I wanted to thank them with this card I created. This card will be participating in the following challenges:  Lawnscaping challenges Sketch, CAS-ual Fridays CFC69 Embossing & Simon Says Stamps Challenges Put a Stamp on IT. I used the following materials: cardstock, Crystal Effecs and dimensionals (Stampin Up), Spellbinders y embossing folder from Cuttlebug, border punch and corner rounder(Martha Stewart),white and kraft twine, buttons from my stash, stamps (Lawn Fawn & Pink by Design) & paper (Bella Blvd).

¡Hola a todos!
Al fin me puedo sentar a escribirles algo. Desde los preparativos para la llegada de mi principito, trabajo y el echo de que mi computadora está dañada, no he tenido oportunidad casi ni de sentarme a crear ni publicar nada. Les presento esta tarjeta que me disfruté mucho crearla. Ver mis dedos llenos de tinta y pegamento me hace feliz :) La tarjeta se llama "Ready to POP" pues así mismo me siento, a punto de reventar. Ya tengo 33 semanas de embarazo y me estoy poniendo nerviosa!!!! Sé que voy a extrañar mucho sentir a mi bebé en mi barriguita. Pronto les pongo una foto mia ;)

 

Voy a estar entrando esta tarjeta en la competencia de "Lawnscaping Challenges" "Make your own patterned paper with stamps". La competencia consiste en crear un papel de diseño utilizando sellos.

 

 Todos los sellos que utilizé son de Lawn Fawn: Plus One y Harold's ABCs. Las tintas son de Stampin Up. También utilizé "Dimensionals"(Stampin Up), alambre,brillo, "Crystal Effects" (Stampin Up)  y Copics. ¡Espero que les guste!

At last I can sit down and write a post! From getting ready to welcome my little prince, work and the little fact that my laptop is not working, I haven't had a chance to create anything even less post. I'm presenting this card that I enjoyed making a lot. To see my fingers all stained with ink and glue makes me happy :) The card is called "Ready to POP" because that's exactly how I feel. I'm 33 weeks pregnant by now and I'm starting to get nervous!!! I know I'll miss feeling my baby move inside me. "Gender Reveal BBQ Party" Part 3 "The Final Reveal" / La revelación final

¡Ahora SI! Esta es la tercera y última parte de la saga “Gender Reveal BBQ party” Por fin sabrán finalmente que es…. Primero quiero agradecer tanto a mi familia como a la de mi esposo que dijeron presente. El día estuvo precioso. Todo el mundo estaba ansioso y emocionado. Pero en vez de escribir tanto… les cuento en fotos ;)

At last! This is the 3rd and last part of the saga “Gender Reveal BBQ party”. At last you will know what I’m having…. First, I want to thank my family and my husband’s family that shared with us this special event in our lives. The weather was beautiful, bright and sunny. Everyone was anxious and excited. But instead of writing every detail of the party… lets see the pictures ;)

Yo con mi camisa “Mommy to be”. / Me with my “Mommy to be” T-shirt.

También preparé camisas para mi esposo e hijos. ¡Somos un equipo! Me encantó como quedaron. La camisa de Jey va de camino por correo, ya que lamentablemente no pudo acompañarnos. / I also made T-shirts for my husband and sons. We are a team! I love how these turned out. Jey’s shirt is on its way via USPS, sadly she couldn’t be with us.

Papá inicialmente hizo trampa… SE VISTIÓ DE AMBOS COLORES. Aquí está poniendo el voto de su hermana Titi. / The Daddy initially cheated… HE DRESSED IN BOTH TEAM COLORS. Here he’s voting for his sister Titi.

Según llegaban los invitados, tenían que pasar por el área de votaciones. Los identifiqué por equipo con hilo de lana del color de su votación y también escribían su voto en un bebé y lo pegaban en la cartulina. / As guests arrived, they had to go through the votes station. I identified them with yarn with their team colors and they also had to write their names in the babies and stick it on the vote’s poster.

En la mesa también coloqué la cajita forrada (ver “post”anterior) con las instrucciones sobre qué hacer. / In that same table was the small box I decorated (refer to previous post) with the instructions on what to do. It reads “Please pick a card, write on one side your name and in the other the name suggestion for me. Thanks, Baby”.

Esta es la mesa de entremeses: dip “cielito lindo”, dip “cerebrito”, fuente de chocolate con frutas y "marshmallows", ensalada de camarones y los tradicionales en PR “sandwichitos de mezcla” en pan de colores azul y rosa MMmmmmmm Si quieren la receta de alguno, no duden en contactarme ;) / This is the snacks table: “cielito lindo” dip, “brain” dip, a chocolate fountain with fruits and marshmallows , shrimp salad and the PR tradition “sandwichitos de mezcla” in blue and pink bread. MMmmmm If you want the recipes, let me know.

Holaaaaaaa!!!
La vida nunca para de proveernos sus bendiciones. Tanto Juan Carlos como yo estamos super contentos porque Papá Dios nos ha dado una de las mayores bendiciones que nos podía regalar. Con Su favor, este próximo octubre estaremos recibiendo con todo el amor del mundo a nuestro primer retoño que formará parte de nuestra hermosa familia. No tengo palabras suficientes para describir la alegría que siento, no solo por saber que dentro de mí crece vida, sino también al ver la reacción de sus futuros hermanos mayores, de nuestras familias y amistades. Agradezco de corazón las palabras tan bonitas que he recibido de los pocos que lo saben. ¡Nuestro bebé va a estar rodeado de mucho amor, y ni hablar de todos los tios y tias que me l@ van a consentir! Ya los mantendré al tanto :)

Life never stops blessing us. Juan Carlos and I are so happy because God has blessed us with one of the best gifts He could give us. God willing, this next October we will be welcoming with all the love in the world our first baby to join our beautiful family. There are not enough words to describe the happiness I feel not only because life is growing inside of me but also seeing the reaction of his or her future sibblings, our families and friends. I thank from the botton of my heart all the kind words given from the small group that already know the news. Our baby will be surrounded by a lot of love! I'll keep you all posted ;)
