¡Hola!

Nuestra tradición latina en la Navidad es principalmente el Día de los 3 Reyes Magos que se celebra el 6 de enero. Aunque también celebramos la llegada de Santa Claus, mis favoritos son los Reyes. Esta tarjeta que hice es en honor a ellos. Corté la forma de los Reyes, la estrella y del adorno del árbol con la Cricut Explore Air. El sello es de Latina Crafter. Estaré añadiendo esta tarjeta al reto de CASology: Week 173: Tree.

Hey!

Our true Christmas Latin tradition is to celebrate the day of the 3 Wise Men which is celebrated on the 6th of January.  Although we also celebrate Mr. Santa Claus' visit, my favorite are the Wise Men. This card is in honor of that beautiful tradition. I die cut the tree ornament, the star and the silhouette of the Wise Men with the Cricut Explore Air. Sentiment stamp is from Latina Crafter. I'll be adding this one to CASology: Week 173: Tree.

Hope everyone got a great weekend! Today's card features a cute critter I have used many times. It's a stamp from Lawn Fawn. I think one of the firsts releases... I just love that little owl. I'll also share it with the Unity Stamp Co's Brown Thursday Blog Hop . I kept this one VERY simple. I heat embossed the sentiment (Unity Stamp Co) with gold embossing powder and added gold thread. También estaré compartiendo la tarjeta con Unity Stamp Co's Brown Thursday Blog Hop  Quise mantener el diseño de esta tarjeta muy simple. Con la técnica de "Heat Embossing" con polvo dorado, estampé el mensaje (Unity Stamp Co) y añadí hilo dorado. Espero que les guste y que tengan un super fin de semana.

Esta es mi segunda entrada del día. Esta tarjeta que les presento, la hice en un momentito que pude escaparme a mi taller. Estaba loca por participar en algunas competencias de las que sigo. En serio, que ya no aguantaba más. Combiné varias competencias para esta tarjeta. Los colores que utilicé están inspirados en la foto del reto de Runway Inspired Challenges RIC#89. Tan pronto ví la foto y sus colores pensé FLAMINGO. La imagen es de este set de Unity Stamp Co. Me encanta este set. Ya lo he usado en varias tarjetas. El flamingo lo coloreé con Copics. El patrón de "chevrons" fue hecho con un set de Latina Crafter con tinta negra al igual que el mensaje de "Feliz Cumpleaños". Por eso la tarjeta también la entraré en el reto de CAS-ual Fridays CFC142: Pretty Patterns. El flamingo se podría considerar un animal acuático ya que pasan mucho tiempo parados en el agua, así que entraré la tarjeta en el reto de CASology: Week 159: aquatic. Completé en diseño con lentejuelas plateadas siguiendo el esquema de colores de Runway Inspired Challenge.

This is my second entry of the day. I made this card also on a little break I had to escape to my craft room and play a little bit. I just couldn't wait any longer to enter some of the challenges I follow. I really couldn't! I combined 3 challenges on this card. The color combo for this card was inspired by the inspiration photo of the Runway Inspired Challenges RIC#89. As soon I saw the picture I thought FLAMINGO. The image is from this Unity Stamp Co set which I LOVE! I've done a few cards using it already. I colored the flamingo with Copics. The chevron pattern was done with a set from "Latina Crafter" stamps, as well as the sentiment, using black ink. Because of the pattern I created, I'm entering it too to the  CAS-ual Fridays CFC142: Pretty Patterns challenge. The flamingo could be considered an aquatic animal since they spend a LOT of time in water, so I'm also entering it to the  CASology: Week 159: aquatic. challenge. I complete the design with some silver sequins following the color combo of the Runway Inspired Challenge.

Hoy les traigo una tarjeta sencilla pero hermosa para cumpleaños. En esta tarjeta quise capturar la personalidad de quien recibiría la tarjeta y creo que lo logré. Para el fondo, use un "embossing folder" de Cuttlebug el cual tiene un patrón repetitivo muy bonito. Los sellos son de "Neat and Tangled". Para dar un punto de enfoque en el regalo, estampé varias veces el sello aplicando tinta cada vez para que el color fuera intenso. El lazo plateado fue resaltado con la técnica de "heat embossing" con polvo plateado. Estos dos pasos los hice sobre cartulina blanca que luego corté con un troquel circular. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta en los siguientes retos: CASology: Week 154: Repeat, Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Celebrate y Little Tangles: Challenge #58 - Die Cutting.

 

Hello everyone!

Today's card is a simple but beautiful bday card. I wanted to capture the essence of the person that would receive it, and I think I did it. For the background, I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder which has a repeated swirly pattern. The stamps are from Neat and Tangled. To give it a focus on the bday present, I repeatedly stamped it over itself re-inking each time so I ended with a very crisp image over white cardstock. I also heat embossed the bow with silver embossing powder. Then I die cut the white cardstock using a circle die. I placed it in a corner with 3D dots and cut the excess. I'll enter it to the following challenges:  CASology: Week 154: Repeat, Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Celebrate and Little Tangles: Challenge #58 - Die Cutting.

I have today another birthday card. This one is for my nephew who turns 10 today. He is living in Europe right now so I won't be getting to see him this year but I really hope to see him and his sister soon. I wanted a simple but festive card. I used the balloon image from this stamp set. I stamped with different color inks and just let two of them "float" away. I then stamped the number 10 in these balloons. I used gold ink for the sentiment. I'll enter this one to the CASology: Week 145: Shape.

Hoy les traigo otra tarjeta de cumpleaños. Esta es para mi sobrino que cumple hoy sus 10 años. En estos momentos está viviendo con su familia en Europa así que no podré verlo este año pero espero poder visitarlos pronto a él y su hermanita. Quería hacerle una tarjeta sencilla pero festiva. Usé la imagen de globo de este set de sellos. Estampé con diferentes colores de tinta dejando solo dos globos "volar". En estos dos, estampé el número 10. Para el pensamiento de cumpleaños usé tinta dorada. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a la competencia de CASology: Week 145: Shape.

Here I am... posting late...yet again... Anyway, today's card is a birthday card. It features stamps from this kit from Unity Stamp Co. I heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder then colored, with Distress Inks, the background with the colors (I also followed the sketch) from the Unity Be Inspired Challenge just masking about half an inch where I stamped the sentiment. I completed the look with some purple twine and rhinestones. I'm loving this color combo. I'm entering the card to CASology: Week 131 since the cue card is "birthday". I'll also share this card too with today's Friends with Flair so don't forget to comment for a chance to win stamps from Unity!!!

Aquí de Nuevo... escribiendoles tarde... Bueno, la tarjeta de hoy es para cumpleaños. Usé este kit de Unity Stamp Co. Usando la técnica de "heat embossing" estampé las imágenes y luego utilicé polvo transparente para la técnica. Luego le dí color al fondo con "Distress Inks" utilizando los colores (también seguí el esquema) de la competencia de Unity Be Inspired Challenge. Cubrí aproximadamente media pulgada del fondo para estampar luego en esa area en blanco el mensaje. Completé la tarjeta con hilo violeta y "rhinestones". Esta combinación de colores me gusta mucho. Entraré la tarjeta en la competencia de CASology: Week 131, ya que la palabra clave es "cumpleaños". Estaré compartiendo la tarjeta también en el Friends with Flair del día de hoy, asi que no olviden dejar su comentario para la oportunidad de ganar sellos de Unity.

I wanted to have some sparkle so of course I added some sequins. I completed it with some twine. I'll be entering this one to the following challenge, Simon Says Have a Heart.

Here in Puerto Rico we don't get to see snow. I know a lot of people that live in places it snows, before December ends are already tired of it. For us, it is a novelty to travel and to play with it! Snow looks beautiful until you have to shovel your driveway LOL Today's card features a cute little reindeer from this cute set from Unity Stamp Co that I colored with Copics. I paired it with a bit of gold tread and a wood veneer in the shape of a snowflake. I heat embossed the sentiment from a Christmas set from Latina Crafter. I'll enter this one to CASology Challenge: week 126: Snow.

Aquí en PR no vemos nieve. Se que la mayoría de los que si la ven, antes que acabe diciembre, ya no quieren más. Para nosotros es una novedad jugar con ella. La nieve se ve Hermosa, hasta que tienes que palear la entrada de la casa. jajaja Bueno, la tarjeta de hoy les presente a este lindo venadito de este lindo set de Unity Stamp Co el cual coloree con Copics. Le puse un copo de nieve en madera y un poco de hilo dorado. El mensaje fue "heat embossed" en dorado. Este es de Latina Crafter. Today's card is not the usual one. I used my Cricut  to cut a snowflake shape and made a card out of it. I used Lawn Fawn and Pink by Design stamps and silver embossing powder to create this CAS card. I will enter this to this week's CASology Challenge: Week 125:Silver. I wanted to enter this too to Cut It Up Challenge but was late posting :( Enjoy!

La tarjeta de hoy es de una forma inusual. Usé la maquina Cricut para cortar dos copos de nieve e hice una tarjeta con ellos. Usé sellos de Lawn Fawn y Pink by Design y polvo plateado para hacer "heat embossing". I really love how simple and cute this one turned out!

Hoy les traigo una tarjetita con transparencias. Hace algún tiempo que no utilizaba acetato en algún proyecto. Esta tarjeta sirve para felicitar en cualquier ocasión. Usé el torquel de Lawn Fawn "Stitched journaling card" para el fondo junto con "Distress inks". El arcoiris lo corté con el troquel de Spellbinders "standard circles large" en cartulina escarchada y las nubes las corté con la Cricut y el cartucho "Everyday Paper dolls". El sello es de Latina Crafter. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a las siguientes competencias: Cut it up Challenge #41: Anything goes, CASology:Week 88: Lucky and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Transparent.

Today's card has transparencies. It has been a while since I incorporated acetate in any project. This card is perfect to congratulate someone on any occasion. I used Lawn Fawn's  "Stitched journaling card" with Distress inks. I cut the rainbow using Spellbinders "standard circles large" in glittered cardstock and the clouds were cut in my Cricut using "Everyday paper dolls" cartridge. The sentiment stamp is from Latina Crafter. I'll enter this one to the following challenges:  Cut it up Challenge #41: Anything goes, CASology:Week 88: Lucky and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Transparent.

Again a late post! My mini spiderman has kept me really busy!!! ;) With grandma's help, I got to spend time in my craft room this week and made a few cards. Today's card is a simple yet powerful one. I really like the message in it! I used a Unity Stamp Co stamp called "Storms make deeper roots" which makes the card perfect for this week's CASology Challenge Week 86. The cue card is "Roots". I'll also enter this card for CAS-ual Fridays: CFC129: Shades of Gray and I'll share it with my friends from Unity for the "Friends with Flair"

¡Otra entrada tarde! ¡Mi pequeño hombre araña me ha tenido muy ocupada esta semana! Con la ayuda de abuelita, pude crear un poco esta semana y hacer varias tarjetas. La tarjeta de hoy es simple pero con un mensaje profundo. Usé un sello de Unity Stamp Co llamado "Storms make deeper roots" el cual hace que la tarjeta sea perfecta para la competencia de esta semana de CASology Challenge Week 86. Color Mists

Today's card features something I'm kinda obsessed with right know, color mists. But not the ones you buy, the DIY kind. For this one I also made the stencil. I used the "Wild Card" Cricut Cartridge to cut it on heavy cardstock. Talk about saving money on craft supplies! ;) I made the color mists using acrylic paint and water. La tarjeta de hoy tiene una técnica con la cual estoy algo obsesionada ultimamente, los sprays de colores. Pero no son los que venden comercialmente, si no los hechos por uno mismo. Para esta tarjeta también hice mi propia plantilla. Usé el cartucho de Cricut "Wild Card" para cortar el mio en cartulina gruesa. ¡Así ahorro dinero! Hice los sprays de color con pintura acrílica y agua. El sello es de Lawn Fawn. Hello everyone!

I've been very busy making Valentine's day cards and getting ready for the 2nd Scrapbook Convention hosted by Revista Papeles y Más in which I'll be teaching a class. More details about that soon! I loved this stamp set from Unity Stamp Co from the first time I saw it and I HAD to have it. I made this CAS card using it! I masked the lid with washi tape when I stamped the jar. Then inked only the lid and stamped it beside it. I used Memento ink in Tuxedo Black, Copics, rhinestones, red ribbon and a stapler for the final touch. I'll enter this one in the following challenges: CASology: Week 81: And, & CAS-ual Fridays:CFC 127: Over the edge.

He estado bien ocupada haciendo postales de San Valentín y preparándome para la 2da Convención de Scrapbook auspiciada por la  Revista Papeles y Más en la cual estaré enseñando una clase. ¡Pronto, más detalles al respecto! Tan pronto ví este set de sellos de Unity Stamp Co supe que TENIA que tenerlo. Hice una tarjeta CAS con el set. Tapé la parte de la tapa de la jarra con "washi tape" cuando la estampé. Luego puse tinta solo en la tapa para estamparla al lado de la jarra. Utilicé tinta de Memento Ink en Tuxedo Black, Copics, rhinestones, cinta roja y una grapadora para darle el toque final. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a las siguientes competencias: CASology: Week 81: And, & CAS-ual Fridays:CFC 127: Over the edge.

Hoy les presento una tarjetita de San Valentín que hice con sellos de Lawn Fawn. Este set, tan pronto lo ví, me encantó. Estudié ciencias así que es inevitable que me guste tanto. Soy una "nerd", lo confieso. Le dí color a las imágenes con Copics. El fondo de la tarjeta lo hice probando unos "mists" de color que hice y me encantó el resultado. Pronto les comparto un tutorial. Today's card is a Valentine's day card I made with Lawn Fawn stamps. As soon as I saw this set, I fell in love with it. I studied Sciences so it was impossible not to love it. I'm a nerd, I admit it. I colored the images with Copics. The background was created with color mists that I did myself and I loved the result. I'll share a tutorial soon.
