Abuela/Grandma

¡Hola!

Esta es mi segunda entrada del día. Hoy les presento una tarjeta para abuela que hice siguiendo el "sketch" del reto de Latina Crafter #47 (LCSC#47). Los sellos que usé son de #LatinaCrafter. La flor es de Prima. Un diseño sencillo en diferentes tonos de amarillo. Este año me incliné bastante por este color para las tarjetas del Día de Madres. Ya mañana les presento otra tarjeta para la ocasión.

This is my second blog post for the day. Today, I'm presenting a card for Grandma that I did following the sketch for the current Latina Crafter #47 challenge. The stamps are from #LatinaCrafter. The flower is from Prima. It's a simple design using different tones of color yellow. I did use yellow a lot for the cards I made this year for Mother's Day. I'll share with you another Mother's Day card tomorrow.

¡Hola Hola Hola!

Estamos en víspera del Día de las Madres así que la tarjeta de hoy es para este día. Es la primera vez que intento colorear toda una imagen con acuarelas así que no está 100% a mi agrado. Confieso que soy un tanto perfeccionista. Pero, aun así decidí compartir la tarjeta pues es la práctica la que hace la perfección como dicen. Todos los sellos de esta tarjeta son de Lawn Fawn. Seguiré practicando les prometo, pero mientras, estaré entrando esta tarjeta en la competencia de Lawnscaping Challenges: Watercolors y Simon Says Let's get Sentimental. No he comprador acuarelas "profesionales". Aunque no lo crean, las que usé pertenecen a un set de arte que mi mamá me regaló cuando apenas tenía unos 10 años. ¡Siempre he sido muy cuidadosa con mis cosas! ;)

Tomorrow is Mother's Day so I'm presenting today a card for the occasion. It's the first time I actually try to color a whole image with watercolors so it's kind of imperfect. I confess I'm a perfectionist but I still decided to share the card because "practice makes perfect". All stamps used are from Lawn Fawn. I promise I'll keep practicing but meanwhile, I'm entering this one to Lawnscaping Challenges: Watercolors and Simon Says Let's get Sentimental. I don't own any professional watercolors so even if you don't believe it, the ones I used are from an art set my mother gave me when I was ten! I've always taken care of all my stuff! ;)

Día de Madres/Mother's Day

Hope you all had a great Mother's Day yesterday! This post was supposed to go up yesterday but I totally forgot. Blame the "mommy brain"!!! ;) Anyway, I wanted to make something for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge "Create a background with stamps". I used my We R Memory Keepers pillow box punch board to make a cute box for a special Mother's Day gifts. I randomly stamped the pattern with "Penelope's Blossoms" stamp set (Lawn Fawn) and Clear and Simple hybrid inks. I also made a coordinating small tag that I tied with twine. Inside the box is a really cute South Hill Designs locket I made for my sister in law. She loved it! ;)

Espero que tod@s hayan tenido un lindo Día de las Madres. Esta entrada se supone que la publicara ayer, pero lo olvidé. Quería participar en la competencia de esta semana de Lawnscaping Challenge "Create a background with stamps". Utilicé el ponchador de "We R Memory Keepers" para cajas de forma de almohada para hacer una pequeña y linda caja para un regalo especial del Día de Madres. Estampé al azar imágenes del set "Penelope's Blossoms" de Lawn Fawn con tintas híbridas de "Clear and Simple". Hice también en combinación un pequeño tag que amarré con hilo. Dentro de la caja puse un hermoso relicario de  South Hill Designs que hice para mi cuñada. ¡Ella quedó encantada!

FWF Mother's Day edition

Today's FWF project is very special to me. It's a layout I made with a picture of me while I was pregnant. As you can see, I used Unity Stamp Co stamps (KOM 04/13, KOM 10/11, KOM 06/12, "Baby and Me"  &"Flirty Flowers"). I misted, stamped, made a banner and made a flower out of a toilet paper roll. I definitively had fun making this one. This layout was published in April/May 2014 edition of "Papeles y Más" magazine. Remember to leave a comment for a chance to win a price from Unity Stamp Co! El proyecto de hoy de FWF es muy especial para mi. Es una página de scrapbook con una fotografía mia mientras estaba embarazada de mi pequeño. Como pueden ver, usé sellos de Unity Stamp Co (KOM 04/13, KOM 10/11, KOM 06/12, "Baby and Me"  &"Flirty Flowers"). Estampé, rocié, hice banderines, y hasta una flor del rollo de papel de baño. Definitivo me divertí haciendo este proyecto. Esta página fué publicada en la edición de abril/mayo 2014 de la revista "Papeles y Más". Hi!

Today's card features a first for me! It's the first one I make using real stitching! I don't own a big sewing machine but I bought a while ago one of those hand held sewing thingies I had not tried it out. So, it is just a tiny line but I hope to do a bit more in the near future. I'll enter today's card to this week's CAS-ual Fridays: CFC131: Three Thirds. This card has three strips of paper, three different patterned papers and the wood veneer of the butterfly has three tiny holes in each wing! :)

La tarjeta de hoy tiene algo especial. ¡Es la primera vez que hago una costura real en una tarjeta! No tengo una maquina de coser grande pero hace algún tiempo que compré una de las pequeñas inalambricas y no la había utilizado. Me encantó así que verán más costuras en futuros proyectos. La tarjeta la estaré entrando en la competencia de esta semana de CAS-ual Fridays: CFC131: Three Thirds. Esta tarjeta tiene tres tiras de papel, tres papeles de diseño diferentes y la mariposa de madera tiene tres pequeños rotos en cada ala. :)

The pretties flower in my garden is definitively MY MOM! So, for this week's CASology Challenge: Week 92:Garden I made a Mother's day card. I used the "Forever Young" Cricut cartridge to cut the silhouette. The stamps are from Lawn Fawn (Penelope's Blossom) and Latina Crafter. I'll also enter this one to Simon Says Keep it Clean and Simple.

¡La flor más bonita de mi jardín definitivo es MI MADRE! Así que, para la competencia de esta semana de  CASology Challenge: Week 92:Garden hice una tarjeta para el Día de las Madres. Usé el cartucho de Cricut "Forever Young" para cortar la silueta. Los sellos son de Lawn Fawn (Penelope's Blossom) y Latina Crafter. ¡Es Viernes!

Luego de no participar unos viernes atrás, hoy regreso con una tarjeta para mis amig@s de Friends with Flair de Unity Stamp Co. Una tarjeta sencilla, con colores delicados utilizando los sellos de "Kate's Silhouettes". Quise plasmar cómo se transforma la vida de una mujer al convertirse en madre. Primero las tiendas a comprar la ropa y zapatos de moda. Luego el hermoso embarazo hasta la llegada de la criatura.

Its Friday!

After a few Fridays without participating, today I'm back with a card for my friends from Friends with Flair from Unity Stamp Co. A simple card, with pastel colors using Kate's Silhouettes stamps. I wanted to portray the transformation in a woman's life when she becomes a mother. First, going shopping for dresses and shoes. Then the beautiful period of being pregnant and the birth of the beautiful baby.

I finally started making Mother's day cards! I have so many ideas in mind that I wish I could be stamping 24 hours a day. Today's card features stamps from Unity Stamp Co. I love this stamp and now even more since I'm a mother. The sentiment is from this stamp set. I used the colors from the first challenge of my friend  Scrapper Myra: Color Challenge. I'll also share this one with my friends from "Friends with Flair" from Unity Stamp Co. so remember to leave a comment for a chance to win stamps. A really quick post! I didn't want to miss the chance to participate in the "Share your project to win..." contest that Scrapbookpal.com is having this month. This last weeks of February the contest was to use one or more Spellbinders item. I used in this card the "Standard Circles Large" die to die cut with my Cuttlebug the circles in my card. As you know, I like to make most of my cards with the CAS style and this one is not the exception. The sentiment stamp is from Latina Crafter. I'll also enter it to the Simon Says anything goes with pearls.

En las últimas semanas de febrero el reto consiste en usar productos de "Spellbinders" para tu proyecto. Un poquito tarde hoy pero les quiero desear que tengan un Feliz Día de las Madres a todas las que mamis, madres adoptivas, madrastras y madres de crianza. Espero que hayan tenido un día espectacular.
