Pink, Pink, Pink

Well, looks like I found some more time to blog. Baby's sound asleep so here I am. The card that I'm showing you is inspired by the Runway Inspired Challenge RIC#29 Dsquared2. My inspiration, the colors and the bags. Actually I made two cards inspired in this picture. I sure love that fushia! Cardstock, stamps and inks are from Stampin Up.I tried to keep it as simple as possible. Lately, I've been doing a lot of CAS cards and I love it!

Bueno, encontre otro ratito para escribir. El bebo esta dormidito asi que estoy aprovechando. Esta tarjeta la hice inspirada en la competencia de Runway Inspired Challenge RIC#29 Dsquared2. Mi inspiración fueron los colores y las maletas. Hice dos tarjetas para esta competencia. La otra se las muestro en otro "post".Es que me gusta mucho el color fushia. La cartulina, sellos y tintas son de Stampin Up. Mantuve el diseño lo más sencillo possible. Ultimamente he estado hacienda tarjetas CAS y me encanta!

San Valentín/Saint Valentines

¡Hola!

Todavía ando haciendo ajustes en mi nueva vida de madre y con los cambios adicionales que he tenido recientemente. Decidí renunciar a mi trabajo en enero para dedicar todo mi tiempo a mi chiquito. Estoy organizándome poco a poco para tener más tiempo para el blog y para crear. Ya escucharán de mi más frecuente :) Les presentó esta tarjeta que hice con tema de San Valentín. Utilizé sellos de Lawn Fawn y Stampin' Up. Utilizé la técnica de "paper piecing" la cual he estado practicando y me gusta mucho. Para darle un toque especial a la tarjeta, hice las nubes estampando dos corazones pequeños juntos. Estaré entrando esta tarjeta a la competencia de Lawnscaping Challenge #51 Be my Valentine. Pronto les estaré enseñando más postales con el tema del amor!!! :)

I'm still making adjustments to my new mommy life and with the recent additional changes in my life. I quit my day job this January to spend more time with my baby boy. I'm organizing myself little by little to have more time for the blog and other projects. Your be hearing from me more in the time to come. :) I made this card for Valentine's Day using Lawn Fawn and Stampin' Up stamps. The sentiment means "Thinking of you". I did paper piecing which I have been practicing a lot lately. To give a special touch to the card, I made the clouds stamping two small hearts together. I love it!!! I'll be entering this card in the Lawnscaping Challenge #51 Be my Valentine. See you soon!!! :)

Owl in love/Buho enamorado

Well, Christmas is officially over in PR. I've been kinda of busy putting away my Christmas tree :( and all the other decorations. In the bright side, Saint Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Oh my! I can't believe how fast 2012 is going! I have to confess, Saint Valentine's is not my favorite holiday. But I love making "love" cards. So, I can't wait to start making some. Tonight, I made this CAS card featuring the cute little owl from Lawn Fawn's "Critters from the Forest" set which I colored with Copics. The sentiment is "Te amo" which is "I love you" in Spanish. It's embossed with white embossing powder. To make the twine look twirled, I used glue dots. The heart shaped ballons are make from a paper punch and then colored with distress inks. This is be the first "love" card from me. I wanted to keep stamping but reality checked in :/ I have to sleep. I have work tomorrow. LOL I'm entering this card to the following challenges: Simon Says Stamps' "Spots &/or Stripes" Challenge & CAS-ual Fridays #35 "Highs & Lows". Supply list is below the Spanish version :)

Bueno, oficialmente se acabaron las Navidades en Puerto Rico. He estado un poquito ocupaba guardando todas las decoraciones y el arbolito de Navidad :( Pero al menos San Valentín está a la vuelta de la esquina. ¡Oh Dios! ¡No puedo creer lo rápido que va el 2012! Tengo que confesar que San Valentín no es mi día festivo favorito. Pero si me encanta hacer postales románticas. ¿Quién me entiende? jajaja Tengo muchas tarjetas que hacer así que ya tenía que comenzar. Esta noche les presento una tarjeta sencilla, estilo CAS con el lindo buho del set de sellos de Lawn Fawn "Critters from the Forest" el cual coloreé con Copics. El sentimiento "Te Amo" está estampado con la técnica de "heat embossing" con polvo blanco. Para hacer que el hilo rojo mantuviera su forma, utilizé puntos de pegamento "glue dots". Los globos en forma de corazón fueron cortados con un ponchador y coloreados con "distress inks" Esta será la primera tarjeta de amor para esta temporada. Realmente quería continuar estampando pero la realidad me llama :/ tengo que dormir. Mañana hay trabajo. jajaja Estaré entrando esta tarjeta en las siguientes competencias: Simon Says Stamps' "Spots &/or Stripes" Challenge & CAS-ual Fridays #35 "Highs & Lows".
